In the period between 1960 and 1990, Tamil gospel music saw a dramatic change from its monotony. This change was brought about by none other than the genius music composer and multi instrumentalist Mr.Cooling Rajaiah.
He gave us lovely compositions like Mangala Nithiya Mangalam, Abiragamai Asirvathitha, Kanmani Nee Kanvalarai, Cinna Chiru Sudhane, for the beautiful lyrics penned down by the Tamil scholar Mrs. Mary Lazarus.
His songs became an instant hit for which he was fondly called "The Mozart of Trichy".
