Hello from Georgia! Nice catch on this one. We had a similar one on a nissan truck this summer, completely missing sensor and connector.

I just made a long comment that disappeared which you will be happy about, lets make the short story, As you said you were not going to check everything then you were forced to check all the inputs, you did get burned on camera but it all turned out ok in the end, not all PIDs are available and not all PIDs throw a code, we don't need AC in the winter time so that is the purpose of the ambient temp sensor. I bitched about poking that wire when you just back-probed the connector a few minutes earlier with the very same test light. There are more than a dozen reasons to prevent the AC from working (inputs). Your bypass test on the blue wire took all the logic out of the equation proving a lack of training. Thank you for your research to find the Meter module PID that was one of the more than a dozen inputs required to allow the AC to activate. YES, you ordered a module based on a guess that turned out to be correct but not proven until lots of searching after the fact and after you admitted to not following protocol. Florida meetup with Super Mario video, I wish you had more content with the 4 S's, Scope, Scanner, Schematic, and Service Info if you have some or most of that is fine, appreciate your case study on this one and showing some of the guys the missing link in the job. I would have had to search for the PID also but I know it's a requirement on many makes and models. I also wish that you would have inserted a resistor in that missing component location so the temp on the scan tool would have been at a more believable level. Very informative. I also noticed the very cracked dash on your 2012 Altima. I have a 2010 Nissan Altima with similarly cracked dashboard. I live in Florida now and this car is 100% garage kept, except for two weeks during a tile floor install when I needed the garage for storage. After two weeks it was toast. Nissan says that issue was fixed after 2009. Just had evaporator core replaced. Now I believe my AC Mode Actuator is failing. AC works great for first 20-30 min. After that the vent mode changes on its own and I can't get cool air through the front vents. If I toggle vent setting or turn fan up high then low I can get it to work for awhile. Mode actuator part # and location not clear when searching Google. Most videos or comments are regarding Blend Door actuator. Any thoughts?

Hello I have an A/C issue with my 2010 Altima. Compressor clutch stays engaged all the time and the A/C does not cool down enough, just very little bit. I can not find the A/C compressor relay. Have any idea I can check and fix?
