I've gone to Amsoil signature series 5w-40 and Amsoil filter. This is always regarded as the best oil money can by in the world. I've also changed all gear oils to Amsoil.

Mitsi's are strange too. Fine if original owner but if you buy used they resent change then act like unpredictable time. bomb.

@@nathanreid2974 Brilliant vehicle if purchased new and they last well. Mitsi's are always a well abused brand like Subaru and they get thrashed. They are reasonably complex engines due to counterbalancer shafts etc and owners (some) skimp on oil and filter quality by buying the cheapest as some are made to do by owners ( in single unit or fleet whom owners never see vehicle). Anyways I find when some poor guy who cannot afford new then buys a 2 to 3 year old late model Mitsi van or Triton they do come to grief with all manner of problems. Gearboxs is a headache also. Mitsubishi here in New Zealand had placed a really long warranty on new Tritons because of their problems from new and they want to gain / retain customers too. I not going to mention names but I work for a very popular a.t.v & u.t.v brand which is the exact mirror image of automotive industry giving 3 yr warranties, it's funny how we are made to use factory brand oils etc as it's a big profit generator for dealerships, (Mitsi is just this, but Jeep is the worst in the auto industry.) ..So if you can afford new then do it, avoid used unless it's a new repocession. In the industry we say avoid vehicles with the 'M's...Mitsi, Mazda, Merc and 'B'..(B.M.W) and V.W family group vehicles

the 3.0 navara's arn't that bad as the 2.5, as they eithor use the v6 engine or zd30, which has a bit of a reputation. However the ZD30 has been very reliable in many cases unlike the yd engine, which offers more uncertainties. Then again the navaras tend to suffer chassis corrosion unless you get it galvanised or strengthened

No Sir That is faulty fuel injectors.

I had a 06 Navara for 10 years thats done 280,000 kms. Engine is fine, still on original timing chain , injectors and clutch. Replaced rear uni joint twice and front uni joint once. Good trucks.

years 2002 present he doesn't like, the old nissan TD series engines were exelent

I also have Navara with the same Turbo EB320, It is not compatible with EB300,the later is both Oil and water cooled while the former(EB320) is only water-cooled. The EB300 is also different on the Manifold interface. The new EB320 it is around 1200Euros,check on Ebay

Hi thanks for getting in touch we are now seeing more and more 2010/2011 nissan navara's with engine failure in our workshop, so unless you have the funds available stay away from the navara as it will cost you money in repairs. all the best more video's due out soon.

Do they still have a problem with the timing chain ? Or just a problem with everything else ( crankshaft ) ? : )

@@blackriderph4340 Buying new probly wont give you these issues granted you service it, I was refering to older used models with the 2.5L engine around 2007-2012 they were under engineered and not safe to buy 2nd or 3rd hand.
