Hi my Canadian friend, I am struggling with determining the S.O.H. of these leafs. I am after a 2013 model and saw one on a Japanese exporters site that had 9 bars, 7 white and 2 red. To me this meant that the first bar being a 15% loss plus another 2 x 6.25% = 12.5% loss. So, total loss is 15 + 12.5 - 100 = 72.5% total loss. Is this correct as the japanese importer had no idea. Also, how reliable is just reading the number of bars on a photo of the dash. I mean is this going to be a good yardstick to go on or are there other more critical factors or measurements to take into account such as getting a Leaf Spy reading. Whats your advice.

Alternate Nissan 2017 key fob ‘incorrect ID’after I’ve inserted a new2032 battery, even tho I got the same msg before new battery.

I have a question. I thought that if you leave your car on and walk away with your key someone could steal your car but wouldn't get far. A few yards at best before the car realizes the key is not with you and shuts down. Would that also be the case if you turn on the car with the technique shown in the video but the battery in the key is dead? Wouldn't you go a few yards and the car would shut down?

Oh and if your keyfob appears to be suddenly dead its more likely because the 12v battery is drained, open the hood and charge with a regular good old 12v charger.

The plus and minus are both marked on the circuit boards, the back black piece is positive, the front with the buttons is negative. CR2032 fits fine and will last 40% longer than CR2025.

Can you speak to how this works? Is the car reading something in the specific fob that is independent of the battery?

That's all well and good but what happens when your Nissan is keyless entry and start? We have a 2017 Qashqai and though we have 2 fobs, the key in my opinion is useless since there is no key entry in the doors or ignition. So what does the key do in this case?
