Nissan Navara Nox Sensor Diagnosis

Nissan Nivara EML on. When we went in through Nissan there was no fault codes listed. We had to read the fault through the OBD function. NOX Sensor A fault, some simple checks ensured we had the correct sensor.

helpful video - my bog standard code reader couldnt pick this up - ended up at nissan

So basically if you have fault code U059F invalid data received from NOx sensor ‘B’ it’s means that the front sensor has packed up. And on your car it was the other way round NOx sensor’A’ invalid data received as the rear sensor had packed up.

It’s always best to watch actual values and unplug the sensor whilst plugged into the vehicle to confirm. Different scanners can bring up different descriptions too.

What sort of readings on live data do you expect to get from NoX sensors. I’m having trouble diagnosing them

I like to see around 100-200ppm. I’ve had issues with some Mercedes but best way I have found to diagnose is by comparing the readings in a graph form. I have found they should be near identical to each other.

I had a Eclass Merc in the other day and both sensors were just sat at 0ppm. With how common they are i’m just presuming they are both stuffed

@@joliver865 there a common issue on the Mercedes. Although I have had to drive them for about 20 minutes in the past to get them to start reading.
