The Nissan Pixo is cheap and the running costs are low, too.

Just bought one , should have bought one years ago, mine had just over 20k on the clock and drives the way I want it weather it be local roads or the motorway without any power issues. I do 70mph daily to work and back without any issues on moterway. Yes its a little bouncy when the road surface is rough but it's not a f*****g Mercesdes that your driving. It's cheap and reliable to gets you from a2b. Don't let rewiews put you off because they just give their opinion after driving it once but don't own the car. I own it and think it a great car for the money.

You can get an 8 year old Pixo with 40 thousand miles for only 2 grand a bargain i say

Does anybody experience a vibration from the floor when driving over 30mph? Also is it normal for the engine to sound loud at high speed?

I'm a car guy but drive a Pixo. Why? It's cheap and reliable. It's a proper shitbox but I love it for that. Whatever breaks I can fix myself for cheap. The money I save is spent on adding cruise control, good sound system, replacing parts that don't need replacing just yet just to keep it in shape. Plus the gas mileage is amazing. Even if I floor it most of the times it's still good on gas. It can be fast too. I once managed to do 190kph with it! Yes, it's a proper cheap shitbox but I love it for that. Even as a car guy who loves to drive big powered cars I still love my shitbox for what it is. In my opinion car reviews have become difficult to understand sometimes. Most car reviewers make videos about 40/50K vehicles and judge them on their driveability and handling. This is why cheaper cars get so much critic. I knooow I'm not buying a car that is this cheap and makes my back hurt after a while. I know lol. I love it for what it is and yes if I had 50K to spare I'd definitely replace it.

As with the "entry level" vehicles from VW - Up, Mii and CitiGo - either way, all of them make good options for a first vehicle after one has passed their driving test.
