Moving from TX to SC. Decided to tow my other vehicle with a U-Haul auto transport. I had the family with me and surprisingly an uneventful and comfortable ride.

Great looking family.. I'll say it again, Titans are one of the best at towing. Most underrated truck on the market.

Thanks brother. Agreed. After towing this load comfortably. I'll keep my truck for the long haul.

I like your titan brother!! I have a frontier a 2012 that ive kinda built up for off-roading its got low miles im only at 38k ive bought it at 28k miles on it. So far its been awesome one thing about Nissan trucks is they have a bulletproof drive train even the 4.0 v6 one day when the engine goes i plan on doing the vk56 swap ive seen it done and they are awesome!! Great content and beautiful family and thank you for your service to our country!!

Thanks for the review. However, your videos would be better if you filmed in landscape orientation instead of portrait (turn camera sideways). You will capture much more area in the shot.

Thanks. I appreciate your feedback. I'll be sure to try landscape next time. 👍🏾

13mpg pulling that kind of weight is crazy for a gas half ton. I was getting that kind of mileage completely unloaded in my v6 sport trac
@jamarcusjoe Жыл бұрын
Crazy right? I was expecting 8-9 MPG. I was surprised when I started getting 13-15 MPG. Maybe because my SUV was aerodynamic. My thoughts anyways.

Beautiful family!! I’ve got a 2018 Pro4x and we are getting a RV soon so I was wondering how it would do. Great video and very helpful! Thank you for your service and God bless!

Thank you. You shouldn't have any issues. The truck/V8 performed effortlessly. The only issue I can see with an RV is making sure it's not too long where you have stability issues. Good luck! Have fun!

Fantastic video and very informative. I have a '21 P4X as well in gunmetal grey and my only 2 complaints are the resolution of the rear camera and the fact that the parking sensors come back on every time it goes into reverse. This is annoying when lining up to hook up a trailer. At any rate, I can attest to the fact that it is a great towing rig. I have 4 trailers, my current heaviest, an equipment trailer at 2,400 lbs. When I load my tractor on with its backhoe and grapple attached, the trailer and load are pushing a tad over 9k and the Titan pulls it confidently. As you stated, just drive a sensible speed and check on things at every stop. Also, the fuel mileage is great, considering the total weight. Where the fuel mileage drops is when you start towing cargo trailers. Even at a mere 3,500 lbs, including load, my 6x12 TA drops that mileage to 12. With my '17 Titan 2WD, I had a 8.5 x 20 TA, 10k trailer that was 3,200 lbs empty. With that one loaded up to 9k total, I got 9.5-10 mpg driving from FL to TN at 65-70. Overall a great tow vehicle and daily. Thanks for your service and trust me when I say that you'll enjoy retirement when that day comes.

I almost bought the gunmetal grey, keeping the black clean is a hassle. I'm still having minor issues with the truck, but overall I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm a simple man so minor inconveniences are not that big of a deal. I appreciate you, retirement is right around the corner. I can't wait. Thanks!

I've got a 2009 titan and I haven't had any problems with it but I it's time for an upgrade and the new titan will be my next truck.

Derrick That's good to hear! I've had Nissans the last 14 years and what I've realized is if you keep them properly maintained they'll run. I'm sure you'll feel a big difference in your truck and the newer Titans. MPGs have increased and more gears are the biggest differences. I hope you get the truck you want!

How were you able to rent a U-Haul auto transport trailer by itself? Every U-Haul place I have gone to will not rent the trailer to tow with a pickup. They insist you only pull the autotransport with one of their trucks. Do you know someone?
@jamarcusjoe4 ай бұрын
I reserved one online. When I added the Titan details, it approved the truck to tow the u to transport. I had no issues picking it up from the U-haul place. In fact, they hooked everything up for me and sent me on my way. Sorry to hear you're dealing with that. Good luck with trying to get one

Do you miss not having the tow mirrors or regret not getting them? Considering picking one up but not sure if I should go for the tow mirrors or not
@jamarcusjoe5 ай бұрын
I did at first but I don't tow enough to have them on the truck full-time. Also, the times I have towed the factory mirrors I have actually work pretty well. Since this is my daily driver id rather keep the factory mirrors. If I do need to mirrors Ill buy those strap on extenders. Thanks for the commrnt

@@jamarcusjoe I’ve never had tow mirrors on a pickup truck but used to drive larger vehicles with them, do they help much in day to day other than just towing?
@jamarcusjoe5 ай бұрын
@@ThunderRunner I dont know. Ive never driven/used tow mirrors before. Ive always used the standard mirrors.

Glad it went well! It’s a shame the Titan is so over looked in the full size market. Did you do any manual selection of gears at all or was it full auto the whole trip? Also did you by any chance see what the peak trans temp was? 13 MPG is also what I got when I pulled the Mustang on the 1000 mile round trip. I was happy with that figure.
@jamarcusjoe2 жыл бұрын
I did try the manual gear selection per your recommendation, but felt it was too labor intensive over time. The trans temps stayed in normal range the entire trip. I didn't think I would get 13 mpg, I was expecting 8-10 mpg. Great ride! Again, thanks
@AB-coyote2 жыл бұрын
@@jamarcusjoe I’m not sure how the 9 speed works but on my older 5 speed I can lock out 5th. I’m not actually manually shifting I’m just not letting it use 5th gear. Did your truck hold 9th on the hwy?

Great video. I have a boat so i was curious about the towing. Looking to possibly get a 2023 Titan Pro4x, hoping they come down a bit close to the end of the year. Down here in SWFL. Cheapest ive found so far is Tampa area. Anyone else have any suggestions
@jamarcusjoe Жыл бұрын
Thanks. Depending on how much your boat weighs, you should have no issue. I would suggest if you are close to the limits on the half-ton version, I would consider the XD model. I hope you find a good deal on one!
@fsujmm Жыл бұрын
@jamarcusjoe oh, I also was curious how big the back seat is compared to the F150 and Ram? Currently driving a Ram crew cab and it has plenty of size and I have driving the super Crew F150 and it's also the same.....
@travisdoe46635 ай бұрын
Probably too late but I would suggest looking at something used, new cars or some of the worst investments you can make.
@travisdoe46635 ай бұрын
@@fsujmm Titans probably have the Roomiest cab in the industry. There is as much leg room in the back seat as the front seat, you just can't slide the seats back and forth.

Did you use tow mode?
@jamarcusjoe2 жыл бұрын
I did use tow mode the entire trip. The times I began a drive with it off was noticeable. With the weight I was towing, tow/haul mode was a must.
