Just purchased a Titan XD and it’s an awesome truck. It’s my 3rd Titan and won’t be my last. Thing I like about it the most, not many on the road, unlike the dodge or Ford, everyone and their grandmother has one!

the Titan has 3 major advantages: rear locking differential, more comfortable seats, and longer warranty.

I’m a HUGE Tundra guy, and even I felt this review was biased, as they didn’t compare the most comparable models. I still believe that the Tundra is the better truck, however

I bought a titan over the tundra because it was way cheaper especially thanks to incentives, plus this review felt a bit bias, didn't even mention some of the negatives for the tundra like its horrible gas mileage and that its the oldest in the segment now, and in serious need of a full update

A platinum Vs an Off Road Pro X model? Real fair comparison!

I bought a 2017 Titan over a Tundra, F150, Silverado 1500 and Ram 1500 because it has the best ride, best driving characteristics and based on reviewes best towing characteristics. Now having towed things myself, i felt extreemly confident towing 8k lbs. Where i know a few peolm5in their trucks who dont like to tpw more than 7k because it feels unsteady. And btw my mpg is about 17mpg. With 60% being city driving.

I chose a 2017 Nissan Titan XD PLATINUM RESERVE WITH the Cummings turbo diesel and Love the 5yr/100,000 mile warranty

Biased .. next time compare it to the Platinum reserve ..

My Titan is awesome. Test drove the tundra and hated it. I felt squeezed. My Titan handles great and my warranty is actually 9 years 110,000 miles. Tough to beat

Titan does not only come with a 5.6. No mention of the XD series with the 5.0 Cummins Diesel. Then compare towing.

(This is a Fact) Everyone mostly voted for Titan, but the Titan has one of the worst approach angle. So it makes weird noises when going off road. The Tundra has better suspension setup and better shocks. The Tundra can go 300,000 miles. But it doesn’t really matter, both of these trucks are good. Each truck gets their own good and bad look.

2018 titan has a 5.0 cummins diesel option. I'm sitting in one tight now.

Both are great trucks but the Titan is the best value to purchase due to incentives.

I own a tundra 5.7 and a titan XD 5.0. You need to compare trim levels. The titan will pull much more when properly equipped. Mine has a built in goose neck with an Anderson hitch that pulls a 32ft 5th wheel easily. Both are very good trucks.

Funny how he says the titan seems heavy and a bit sluggish at times, but 0-60 the titan beat all 5 pickup trucks and also beat them in the 1/4 mile ET. May I add that 4x4 tested towing 10,000 with 0-60 and it still out pulled all 5 trucks when it’s over its tow capacity. I loved my ram with the hemi until fiat took over, drove the titan and traded in my dodge because the titan road better and takes off very fast.

You show the Pro X4 titan, but then express the Platinum pricing.. the Tundra limited isn't in the same options class as the Titan platinum..

You didn't mention gas mileage either! 14 mpg vs 21mpg, I averaging 19.6 in my 2017 Titan SV.

This seemed a bit biased. The only down side of the Titan is the infotainment, every where else the Titan beats, no no destroys the old old olddddddder Tundra which has always looked a bit odd, like is it trying to be a Camry or a truck?

This was an unfair comparison. If one Pickup truck was a Platinum model then Both trucks should have been. They are Both nice trucks but Ultimately it comes down to this. It's a matter of Preference ! Look at them , All of the pickup trucks you have an interest in then make a choice.

Well, let's fact check the part where they criticise towing capacity and say "when equipped for towing" and show the Tundra at 10,500lbs.....um Titan is rated at 13,000 when equipped with the towing package and 11,000 without.

How can he say the titan interior is plain? I owned both a tundra platinum and titan platinum reserve. First thing i noticed when going from trundra to titan is how many more features the titan had. The tundra is a good truck but it is the most vanilla interior truck in its class..hands down. No remote start, no keyless entry, no rear seat heaters, no rear storage compartment, no fold down rear seats, no adaptive volume, no steering wheel heater, and I'm not even getting into the control center features.

compare that truck to the Titan XD next time, which can out tow any Toyota Tundra anytime

Wrong...the Toyota V8 is a gas hog and the Titan is much better on gas. I’m not biased I don’t own or want either one. But the Titan has a much more efficient engine. Toyota has used the same old 5.7 for years and has always had a bad reputation for mpg. I didn’t say it was a bad engine...it’s a great engine...but it sucks on gas

Own a titan, love it. Engine sounds great and very responsive. Must have 130k on it now with no problems. Always wanted a tundra also, new earth green color is catchy. I hear the engine is sound and I remember a few years back watching the crappy make shift isis army driving a convoy thru the desert gettin shot up and they were all driving tundras. If it drives thru that heat, sand, rugged terrain all while getting shot up and outlives its drivers its gotta be pretty damn reliable. In the end I feel like you have to really drive both for a bit to get a solid feel for it before you go saying one is superior.

The Toyota Tundra is oldest full size pickup, its nearly 14 years old design, so old that Chevy Silverado did complete Redesign nearly 5 Times in 14 years

The reliabiliy of the titan is proven also. How come you did not gripe about the interior of the tundra? you showed it at the very end @2:47 and it looked old and worse than the Titans....

I traded in my 2014 Tundra Platinum for a 2018 Tundra SR. The 14 had too many gadgets and just didn't like and the new on, the SR is actually smaller inside but bigger on outside due to the 6 1/2 bed. Smaller engine, a 4.6 V8 but still can't seem to tell the difference between the engines for power. The SR weighs less so it could end up being the same. The 14 was 5700 lbs and had a topper on it that weighed aboutt 250 lbs, t otal, 6000 lbs. The SR weighs 5400 lbs. I really like the SR better. Not many gadgets on it.

Don't know how much Toyota paid you but seriously come on. I love both trucks however the Tundra is super out of date. And you didn't even give fuel economy numbers... You gave the tank size. The Tundra has the worst fuel economy in it's class. Yes the engine is bulletproof because it's old and proven. Throw me fuel economy numbers and you'll easily just throw the Tundra under the bus. This was definitely bias and even a little deciving. He mentions that this Titan is the pro-4x and its the one without a convenience package. The trim isn't even on the same level. Now compare this Tundra to a Nissan Titan Platinum reserve and it'll have a moon roof not just a sun roof, Brake assist, rain sensing wipers, AC cooled front seats, wifi hotspot, Hotspot, forward automatic emergency breaking w/ pedestrian detection, rear automatic breaking and blind spot sensors just to name a few!!!

This vid is biased as hell. I have the 2017 Titan Pro4x with the luxury package. The zero gravity leather heated and cooled seats are fantastic. I test drove the Tundra TRD off road truck and it was totally outdated. Kind of like getting into a brand new version of your 10 year old car.....only its 10 years later and it new. The Titan was a complete upgrade all around. So having driven both trucks..I can personally say..this guy knows nothing.

Funny how they say that the tundra has the best fuel tank of the bunch and that it tows the most but yet they seem to forget that no matter what trim you get with a tundra you get only acute ignition you can't get push button start not to mention the fact that you have to get the bigger gas tank because the tundra has the worst fuel mileage of all the trucks out there the Titan whips it in that category plus you can get a Titan much cheaper

I like....both?! 🤔 But yes! The trucks are made in the USA. The company I work for makes 53 different parts for the Titan, and 41 different parts for the Tundra. Toyota's quality policy is 2x as strict as Nissan. I like both trucks, and I'd be happy with either or! No 35spd auto trans, Auto start/stop, and no cylinder de-activation!!

The Titan was just redesigned and has a very nice interior. I did valet while in college and they're very nice. The Tundra is straight plastic and very blocky. I own an 07 4runner but would totally get a Titan especially in pro 4x trim. Thumbs down

There isn’t much difference in cost???? The Tundra starts over $10k more than the Titan and that’s for the small V8 with the small back seat. I checked both. I just purchased a loaded Titan for $30,010. I can’t even get a base model Tundra for that price in San Antonio. I looked at Tundra first but it was the most expensive and worst gas mileage of all truck brands.

I picked a 04 titan over a 2008 tundra The titan had more kick, better feel, was simpler and looks better imo I test drove both trucks new for s&g's The titan still handles better If you really care about towinh you arent getting a regular titan anyway, youre gonna get a xd

The trim level comparison is way off.. should have been an apple-to-apple comparison if you do a SR5 vs SV or Platinum vs Platinum. The 5.7L and the bodystyle on the Tundra has been the same for nearly a decade, not to mention, the gas mileage is horrible.

I think the Titan looks way better I had a tundra and I switched to a platinum reserve Titan I wouldn’t go back to the tundra and I’m sure 58k is for the platinum reserve edition the platinum tundra is a lot more than 55k
