Whiffed on Imodane, she's a kill on sight commander, You missed a crucial part on the interaction with damage doublers/triplers. Imodane is the one dealing the damage, meaning damage doublers stack, once for the original spell and once for Imodane. A lowly 1 mana Strangle and a single damage doubler = 42 damage for one mana (6 to the original target + 12 for each opponent). Got one of the triplers instead on board? That Strangle is now a 27 to each opponent!

Came here to say this. Imodane has multiple options for doubters, triplers, additional red damage like mechanized Warfare, torbran, etc. Kill on sight for SURE. Of course I'm building her out already.....

Imodane plus the damage doublers, triplers, or even better plus the absurd power of Zada gives her a very high ceiling for power.

The situation with rowan was pretty much: she is loosing control of her power and disagreed with will's way of handling the sleep peoblem. Then she went of to stop it by herself, met eriette who is supposedly her aunt and got low key brainwashed.

I've played against Talion in a few games. Comes down early, pick 2, and it drew 11 cards or so over the span of a few turns. It really popped off in my limited sample size.

Definitely gonna try out Agatha. She's super fun. I like that she scales up the longer the game goes, and she let's you use some obscure cards with good abilities that don't work in other decks

Kellan is the example of a perfectly printed boros Voltron and friends deck. Would be interesting to see more play from exile matters in boros equipment as impulse drawings strength climbs in commander.

We have nahiri from the aftermath that runs strong as well. I have a version of her that runs all the good living weapon and for mirrodin cards in it, and it absolutely slaps

Funfact: as Totentanz is based on a german fairy tale his name is also german Totentanz means as much as "dance of the dead", the pied piper's original german name translates to "the rat catcher of hamelin".

When I see Hylda I'm just disappointed, thinking we could have had another Snow set, where the ice queen locks Eldraine in a world of cold to stop Phyrexia... rather than it being locked in sleep. Snowdraine... but I guess it could feel too similar to Coldsnap.

@@furonet138 Modern Horizons had a lot of snow, and it was within 2 years of Kaldheim. I wouldn't care if they did a snow set, or even splashed in some new snow cards every winter :') Eldraine could have at least made Hylda and her relevant cards in the set snow spells.

@@DigitalinDaniel Yeah but MH1 wasn’t standard legal, and they tend to leave a fair bit of time between appearances of specific mechanics like that in standard sets. Proliferate (2010, 2019, 2023) and landfall (2009, 2015, 2020) come to mind. Granted those examples are (mostly) tied to specific planes, but it gives you a vague idea of how they like to space things out time-wise

Ash feels like shes more for brawl one on one. Ive been playing her there and surprisingly does alright to be very aggresive that just gets bigger and bigger each turn. Only made her because I pulled her randomly. Just pair her with creatures that enter with other creatures or for mirrodin! Equipment for easy Celebrations.

I admit my bias as an enchantress player, but Gylwain is one of the most fun commanders I've ever played. There are some really cool combo/value lines involving enchantress creatures, Composer of Spring, and cheap creatures. The deck can really pop off. I also like that it encourages you to ditch the traditional "on cast" enchantresses in favor of things like S Champion and Eidolon. I think that 2 is low for power here, but I am not under the impression that he's going wreak havoc on the format. Plus, come on: he's handing out hats!

Missed the mark on Imodane. She can wipe everyone with torbran, a trippler, and a lightning bolt. Lightning bolt + torbran = 5 X 3 for 15 to creature Imodane sees the 15 and deals it to each opponent... x 3 for 45 to each opponent's face. Or a lightning axe and no torbran.... or a dozen other combos.... solphim, pyromancer's goggles, city on fire, etc etc etc. Doubler and trippler and torbran? Lightning axe 🪓 = 5 + 2 from torbran for 7 x 2 = 14 x 3 = 42.... Which Imodane sees, sends at each opponent... x 2 = 84... x 3 = 252.... to each opponent's face.

Day 37 of guessing the Moxfield ad at 16:44. There are a lot of good commanders in this set, but that kind of goes without saying as there's usually a good amount of good commanders in every set nowadays. Also inb4 Rowan is placed significantly higher than Will because life gain is kinda lame 😂 Edit: These Moxfield ads have been really hard to spot lately 😅

How come no is talking about the LOTR card ‘plea for power’ seem like a blue staple. Floor = 3cards for 3B or ceiling 3B for an extra turn. POWERFUL!

@@brandoncreek5709 thanks I saw it in the pre-con & thought that is good. I thought wow a sleeper, so I bought a bunch. The next day I found out it was a reprint. I feel silly but ready. I now have plenty of good card draw in most blue decks, which in the right situation you may be able to talk your way into an extra turn. Next time research & research

Having an arcane signet in your command zone will make your deck incredibally consistant.

I assume this is in reference to Ruby? If so there are a few problems with that comparison. First being that most green decks don’t even play Arcane Signet, let alone an arcane signet you can only cast if you already have all your colors. Second, the reason ramp is normally great in commander is because you always have something to ramp into via the command zone. That doesn’t apply here.

I feel like Yenna was rated significantly too high in the power category. Needing to untap and need more mana is a couple pretty big hurdles, and if it dies that’s 6 mana for a single token clone of a card you control. Assuming you even got to clone anything. Rowan, who you also gave a 7, is a 3 drop that costs 0 mana to use its ability. Red has significantly better haste enablers to let it go off immediately, and one resolution of Rowan likely just ends the game. “All my spells cost 10 less” is a pretty crazy payoff, and that’s on the low end with how easy it is to pay life in black.
