NJPW Best of the Super Juniors 31 Playoffs Review

After the main league action, it came down to four wrestlers in the playoffs / semifinals of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Best of the Super Juniors 31 tournament.
TJP strives to prove himself to be the captain of the United Empire but has to face off with a hungry Taiji Ishimori who is looking to erase the stink of last year's tournament where he was injured and out for months. In the other semifinal match, El Desperado heads once again into battle with a broken body to meet the challenge of former stablemate and protege Douki whose rise up through the juniors division in this year's tournament has been one fans have loved.
In other action, the multiman tag matches set up the rest of the card for Dominion as the NEVER Six Man Tag Team Champions face defeat, the Junior Tag Team Champions from Bullet Club War Dogs get stretched out by Zack Sabre, Jr.'s TMDK faction, tough guys Shingo Takagi and Henare give us a tease of the hard-hitting action we can expect this Sunday in their NEVER Openweight title showdown, and IWGP World Champion Jon Moxley makes a special appearance to let EVIL and the House of Torture know he's got backup in the form of New Japan's Third Generation legends.
This is my review of the semifinal matches for NJPW's Best of the Super Juniors 31 in 2024.

I think the finals of BOSJ being the main event for Dominion is a great idea, parallels the G1 going on to main event Wrestlekingdom.

I'm becoming a big Douki fan he performed amazingly at the main event.. TJP and Ishimori were also fantastic in their match. Both matches were fantastic in their own way as you said. I'm happy for Despy and Ishimori main eventing a big show and hopefully it carries on in the future

I don’t really hate the House of Torcher but I think the problem with them is the fact that I just can’t take them seriously and an actual threat they have good wrestlers in the group but SHO was way better in CHAOS
