Aw man, that second kingsnake, the one with the chain look to it, was just SO pretty. I also loved the smug face on that rat snake! He looked so proud of himself, sitting in that nest like the king of the hill!! Also, timber rattles have such gorgeous patterns. That was one pretty snake. I loved how your love for herping respectfully showed in this video! Catching that water snake without getting bit was so fun to see, especially as someone who is not terrified of snakes but has a healthy fear of being bitten by one.

I saw 2 huge black ratsnakes when I went hiking earlier today near an old stone wall. I captured them and took a few photos and released them. Then they quickly went into the wall. They were very docile and never even tried to bite me. Because they were together I assume they were getting ready to mate because they were a male and female. I'm glad they went into the same part of the wall. They were beautiful.

I grew up doing the same thing, hunting snakes when I was a kid... Broward County Florida in the early and mid seventies.. we used to call it " the rabbit place." I enjoyed your video. I caught a speckled king snake in my yard the other evening... two footer big around as a nickel. Like your second king. Awesome video... 👌 I really enjoyed it.

They have several different kinds of pit vipers down there in Georgia too. In my opinion this guy is a mad man for using his hands to lift up that tin and he doesn't have on snake boots. He should use his head and add safety to his videos. His bad habits could get him killed.

It’s pretty easy to not grab or step on venomous snakes. I’ve been doing this since I was a little kid. Do you drive a car? Exponentially more dangerous than anything in this video.
@rondellchambers974

Doesn't matter how long you've been doing it or claim to have been doing it. You are a danger to yourself. Facts are facts, you getting upset only means CV your pride has been hurt. Pride kills too, so once again use your head and put away your ego.

The title wasn’t as exaggerated as I thought. Very nice variety of quite large snakes. The first little king that shed in your hand was cute, the second was exceptional and the third was standard. The ratsnake looked happy with this big meal and the vipers were quite chunky and photogenic.

Hey man! You single handedly sparked my whole interest in herping. I've liked this hobby for the many times I've tried it so far and made decent finds, ad I started about a month ago. Whilst I've found good spots for salamanders and frogs, never really snakes. I know I shouldn't ask for locations, as those are things you keep a secret, but where do you find so much tin? I'm a fellow north georgia resident as well, so I'm glad you can give me tips on where to find animals in my state.

Have you made it to Snake Road in Southern Illinois during fall hibernation migration September 1 to October 30 yet? 23 different species known to cross. If you are lucky on timing you may see 100-200 snakes in one day depending on how many times you walk back and forth on the road or 20 to 30 snakes per walk down the road.
