The whiting put up a good fight in your place. The size is pretty big too. Here, they fight only at the beginning and then just follow as you reel them in.

Have you tried any of the Shimano baitrunner reels? They have a separate drag for the bait, independent of the main drag. It disengages when you start reeling in letting the regular drag take over. You can set the bait drag for current and weight of bait, it lets the bait be held just above the point which would allow movement. But soft enough to let a strike run with it easily, all while bail is closed. Kinda wish I had gotten the 4000 vs the 6000. But I use it for lures as well. Thinking on using the line you use, seems very light yet strong.

How do you like the cart set up with the dual wheels on it. Do they cut into the sand much. Am looking at building a cart and deciding whether to spend the big bucks on the balloon wheels or was thinking of utilizing the duals or maybe a walking tandem design? Thanks. Love your vids.

The dirt is only west of the Mississippi. The reason is that the silt comes down the Mississippi and the Gulf current pushes it along the coast to the west. It doesn't clear up until Corpus Christi and south Texas. I guess there are changes in your water because of a change in the current velocity.

Just wondering why you use a second swivel instead of a double uni knot. I normally will use the double uni but not sure why I haven’t seen it use for surf fishing.

Anyone have opinions on hooking the live bait in the rear or the front? I've heard that you want to hook them in the front because that is where the predator fish will attack. I'm guessing that maybe the answer is different depending on the bait?

Up here there catching alot of kingfish but in the book it says nothing about kingfish are they classified as something else? I want to go catch some and take them home but want to make sure I dont get a ticket any help anyone

Do your Whiting have a strong "ammonia " smell ? Down in s.w (naples), I find the older hard to get past. Wouldn't say they were excellent.

hello could you please say a few words about the cart,, how have those double tires dealt with the sand I was thinking that the balloon type tires were / are always the best way to go with soft sand, but I have never seen double tire set up before, so they definitely will work better than if it was only two and now I'. thinking that 8 tires is a weight in and of itself.... just a side thought, so , did you invent/ build the cart or is at available to buy please say where ty

I wouldn’t fish so many rods when the bite is that hot. you end up chasing around and giving the fish too much time and they end up swallowing hooks.
