JP... this is somewhat different than our 2021 19.3 built in Indiana... on ours, the spray port is near the door, the bush kitchen attachment is on the back of the camper, our solar is 190 watt raised-mounted panel... oddly enough our inverter and GFI is on the entry door side of the bed... fridges coming from east factory are 100% 12V electric and no propane function, finally, all of our controls and switches for tank heaters and levels are on a panel above the dinette... only the solar controller is in the bathroom.

Wow, this is very good to know. All the ones that I saw near me were like this one, but they had a different awning and some didn't have the white doors yet. Ours was built in January. I don't know if that makes a difference, but it might. I feel like the 190w solar might be to compensate for the 12V only fridge. Those things can really put a drain on the system.

Very nice review! Love your bed quilt (I'm a home - oh, I notice things like that!) 😲🤣👌🏼 Does the table not fit between the booth benches because it's too big, or too small? Just wondering what type of solutions would be available to correct or address the situation.

I cannot get over how this is pretty much identical in every way to the IBEX 19MBH. Why would Forest River make two trailers that are nearly identical? Floor plan, appliances, tires, windows, bunks, Murphy bed…I can’t find a single difference.

I agree. They are exactly the same and the only reasons I can think of is for some sort of marketing purpose.

@@RoadandReel this is extremely common with travel trailers and other industries. Ford did this with Mercury for example. Think of the GM triplets: Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade. Rockwood and Flagstaff are both Forest River products and are basically duplicates. One of the benefits is it allows the manufacturer to get the product into a variety of dealerships. Let's say Forest River has an arrangement with Bish's RV to sell Rockwood. They may also arrange with General RV to sell Flagstaff. This way they achieve some overlap in the same states or regions with basically the same product. There are also benefits like simplification of the production process, cost savings using all the same parts, etc.

Best review. Details matter. Ty! I'm going to look at a NOBO nearby. Question: Is the underbelly sealed & enclosed & heated? RVs put "kewl" LEDs up high outside but don't think about utility, like a light near the front tanks. Not a NOBO specific comment -- just sayin. Bunk beds are growing on me. Those outdoor doors make the bunks a HUGE storage space. So, I'm the fool that would put a kayak on the roof? :) Smart RVers check height clearances. I use CoPilot for bridge heights, and diesel truck stops for fill ups, so my roofs don't get chopped. :) But yea, some parks have low hanging branches to worry about. Interesting -- no outdoor shower. There's debates on them. For cold winter camping w/ water, the outdoor showers don't come with bypass valves so they freeze 1st. I busted one that way. So a missing outdoor shower is good for us 4season campers. The bypass for winterizing looks like a very small space to work in ...
@RoadandReel
@RoadandReel Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, the entire underbelly is sealed and the tanks have individual heaters. We love our bunks and really like the setup. We've never really had an outdoor shower, but the sprayer is an excellent addition. We use it for all kinds of things like spraying the coffee grounds out of the pot or spraying the sand off the kids before they go in for a shower. I also use it a lot for washing down my fishing gear if I'm fishing in salt water or spraying the mud off my boots.

@@RoadandReel ahh, I misunderstood. And just went to see several NOBOs. So there is the detachable outdoor shower sprayer. Got it. BTW: I saw the new 20 series too. It is lifted about another 1' from the 19s. So a kayak up on roof would have me think twice.

I have a NoBo 19.2 model with mostly everything as your rig. And I know you split your murphy bed to utilize the front window. So cool! You mention batteries in this video, I want to add a second 12v battery (12V hog fridge), but I'm struggling to figure out how to secure (2) group 27 sized batteries up on the tongue. I see you added (2) 6V batteries. If they are similar in size to 12V, how did you mount them?
@RoadandReel
@RoadandReel 2 жыл бұрын
12V batteries are actually easier to mount. They are the same width and shorter than the 6V. I mounted mine on the tongue in a double battery box by Camco. I had to tilt the lid a little bit, but it fits fine. Here's the video I did for mine and feel free to ask questions. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y895fbp3yq-ulpc.html

I bought the 2022 19.3. The thing I don't like compared to your 2021 is they moved the spray port next to the door and there's no storage under that side of the dinette, instead it has screws for an access panel.

@@ericdurbin875 oh, that's nice for that area, but sucks for the inside storage. I was trying to free up space in my outside under bunk area and there is a big box that covers the sprayer connection, electrical outlet and coaxial cable. I wonder if you could open that cover under the seat and maybe gain a little storage? I also saw a hinge setup on the jacknife couch that allows it to tip forward for easier access. I might do that in the future.

We've been in the mid to upper 20s at night with highs in the upper 40s-low 50s and a tank with the 4 of us makes it about a week. That varies greatly if we have electricity or with our showering habits or if I'm cooking indoors. The windows and passthrough storage let a lot of cold in, but the walls are a lot better than our last trailer.

We are not able to get hot water on our No Bo 19.3 2021. We don’t seem to have those switches like you have. I have a picture of what ours looks like. We were boondocking and the first night we had hot water. The second night we did not. My husband has tried everything. Unless the switches are somewhere else we can’t find them. We may call the dealer. He did accidentally forget to turn the propane on and that could have done something but we can’t find those switches.

thanks for the tour. are there any mechanics under the bunks? can they be removed for open storage for larger items like bikes? and what was your hitch weight when you bought it? the FR website says 550#, which is much heavier than the other MB models.
@RoadandReel
@RoadandReel 2 жыл бұрын
There aren't any mechanics or electrical under the bunks. The bottom bunk folds up and can fit a couple of bikes there as it is. Our hitch weight is a little over 600lbs after we added dual tanks and dual 6v batteries and when fully loaded. I've seen several people take the bunks out completely and either make it a large storage or office. I'm sure you could make it to carry more gear.

How does the Trailer Valet 5X work with your NoBo? The hitch rating on the 5x is 500lbs, yet the 19.3 is 550. Do I need to step up to the XL?

Have you driven done many forestry roads or dirt roads with this trailer? We are looking at them, but not sure how tough they really are for that. We are also looking at Jayco's with the Baja package. Any thoughts? Thx for the great video.
@RoadandReel
@RoadandReel 3 жыл бұрын
We did Alabama Hills in it and it was on some pretty rough roads. We didn't have any issues. I wouldn't have any problems taking this trailer on forest roads, washboards or washouts. It's got pretty good clearance and the underbelly is completely sealed and the sewer valves are high enough off the ground. It's a longer trailer and pretty tall, so those are the limits that I would worry about.
@FunkMasterJunk

Thanks for the reply. Its nice to hear that from an actual owner. One other question, if I could, I see guys with an outdoor kitchen that slides out. Is that an option?
@RoadandReel
@RoadandReel 3 жыл бұрын
@@FunkMasterJunk Ours doesn't slide out, but it has a griddle that hangs on the outside. I don't really use it there because it splatters on the trailer, but it works nicely on a table and connects to the quick connect at the rear. Forest River makes slideout kitchens that you can buy and install in your storage area, but it takes up a lot of room.

@RoadandReel
@RoadandReel 3 жыл бұрын
Our fridge runs on 110V or propane with the battery. I haven't checked to see if the outlet that it is plugged into is connected to the inverter, but the propane would be way more efficient either way.

UPDATE: our fridge will run off the inverter, but it is a major battery strain. We found that out on accident while boondocking this last weekend. Luckily, it was sunny enough that our batteries recharged the next day.
