I made this! Not exact but very close. I was running a good number of longer boards between 2-4 inches wide, and decided to be a bit safer. So I took the day and just figured out what I wanted based off of this idea. Tomorrow, back to cleaning up that pallet wood!

Thanks for the idea... splitting that fence longways, put the fence controls on one side and the router vac on the other with the opening for the router bit and vac slot....

Love the bit of extra infeed support. Just bought the Dewalt 7491RS…I think that’s a great safety enhancement. I’d like to keep all my fingers! 😂

Gunna have to take the ute up to the big green shed and get a sheet of form ply. I made a tenoning jig, but it's not ideal with the factory fence of the 745. The extra bit of in-feed will be handy, especially if I manage to put it on the right way round!

Had an issue where the fence met the floor unexpectedly, causing a dent in it which makes ripping boards on it very hard. This is a fantastic idea

That's a great idea for the fence, probably will help keep the fence parallel to the saw blade too.

Great Been thinking about this type of fence for some time but seeing yours coming out so well I'm definitely going to build one. My entry-level cast iron cabinet top needs a better fence than the one it came with.

Got inspired to build this myself, however, I'm running into an issue and hoping you might have some insight. When I build mine the fence is sturdy. The issue I'm having is with the fence that flips over and how that wobbles. Since the backside of the new fence is referencing that it tends to want to tip over. What did you do to solve that? Lucky you. Phenolic plywood non-existent here in the US! If you find it, its online. Size is so small so one could build a tooth pick holder perhaps and also before it ships they will send a surgeon to your door to remove a kidney as a deposit. In Europe is almost a scrap. They use it for concrete forming etc. Go figure. Greetings to down under.
