UL then UR is better in some cases, especially when doing it skips a move.

Yes. None of your memo needs to change. Think of M5 as the ALL move on the back. You can do it as long as you have two opposite pins down, so starting with UL works.

Using both memo orders is better than using just one. However, I would recommend that beginners use the memo order that allows them to use a pin order closer to what they typically use.

You should switch. Lou is generally accepted to be worse. However, 7 simul is better than Sheerin, and your experience with Lou is probably enough to learn 7 simul.

Over time, you shouldn't have to do the calculations. Instead, simply find the differences between the clock faces by looking at them. One pass memo if you aren't doing that already. If you haven't done 100 no-flip solves yet, I wouldn't worry too much about memo speed.

I think that it's more similar to Lou's variant than Sheerin's. I don't use it for the same reasons that I don't use Lou. Skips with it would (probably) be much harder to do. The claimed benefit of it, less math, isn't really true because it technically has five calculations, just like Lou and Sheerin.

I used to use it allowed me to take advantage of more lucky cases, avoid d moves, or use the initial pin order.

The memo and pin order is mirrored across the vertical axis. About half of the solve remains the same. Previously, this pin order was used to better take advantage of lucky cases. However, this video now basically exists for people who don't like the pin order in that video. If you're looking for a more advanced version of no-flip, check out my 7 simul tutorial.

I'd say top 50 includes most of the people really into Clock, but I think that world class now is sub 5 global. Still, it doesn't feel right to put someone who averages low 4 in the same basket as someone who averages high 4.
