All because Manning was out for most of the year and their defense coached by the one and only Wade Phillips got them the championship they should've won 2 years prior.

Crazy but not surprising. There defense needed to improve after losing the Super Bowl pretty badly against a pretty good Seahawks defense. Plus Von Miller Made that defense better just like he Made the Rams defense better in 2022 playoff run.

@@LiamDeegeyou have revisionist history. Manning was not out much of the year. Manning was so awful that he got benched for Brock Osweiler who won some games, including the Pats game. Manning could barely throw the ball 10 yards that year. After complaining from his camp, they put his awful ass back in to ride that defense. He threw 9 TDs with 17 INTs and was horrible in the playoffs. You making it seem like they struggled because he was out. They struggled because he was straight trash.

Oh, September 27th! The night of the Blood Moon, and oh what a night it was!! One of my most favorite plays from 2015 was here at 5:21. The gutsy pass call on 4th and 1, and DT just *_mossed_* Darius Slay for the TD (plus Sanders mossed him later in the game)!! No Fly Zone: simply one of the best in NFL History. Couple of INTs, a blocked extra point, shut down 2 point conversion, and a forced fumble. My favorite team ever 🥹 RIP DT & Ronnie Hillman Let's keep it going Denver!! Big game tomorrow, exciting day tomorrow. Let's Go Broncos🧡💙

I loved watching the no fly zone defense that year. Crazy how 29 is always such a ringer for denver safetys... that said though our current defense is looking very similar last few weeks... to the point where it almost felt like the same thing! Can't wait to see if we can replicate the win tomorrow. Lights out boys

He got benched for Osweiler because he was horrible but since his last name was Manning, they complained to get him back in the lineup despite his horrible 9 TDs and 17 INTs. He struggled throwing 15 yards down field.

The thing I loved about this season other than my team getting it done was when it came time for Super Bowl 50 everyone was saying that this Denver defense wouldn’t be able to stop Carolina’s high powered offense. I was thinking, did yall not pay attention 2 years ago when Denver rolled Into SB 48 against the legion of boom with their high powered offense? I knew we had that game against Carolina. Wasn’t ever a doubt in my mind. They broke Cam Newton that day, he was never the same. Awesome season.

Denver has been through a lot for years after manning retired, the no fly zone pieces break apart year by year, they’re stuck with trash quarterbacks, and DT#88 died( what a legendary reciever).

Peyton Manning was 31 of 42 for 324 yards with 2 TDs and an interception. Also, The Lions were in their worst start and finished 6-10 that season. The Broncos had the best defensive team that year when they had DeMarcus Ware and Aqil Talib.

Detroit finished 7-9. Same year they lost at Seattle with a no call on batting the ball, and Rodgers to Rodgers Miracle in Motown. 7-9 was incidentally the worst of 4 seasons Jim Caldwell had with the Lions. Matt Patricia never did better than 6-10.

I'm not sure about you guys, but I remember this game not from Denver beating Detroit but because of a blood moon or eclipse. I remember going outside with my family during the game to watch the moon. It's crazy to think that 8 years later, I will associate this game with the blood moon eclipse of the moon. Two points. 1. RIP DT. A great man all around. 2. This was the best defense I’ve seem since the 2000 Ravens and arguably 02 Bucs. Yes they were better than the Legion of Boom. What made this Denver was their pass rush. Two HOFERS off the edge and Wolfe and Jackson clogging up that middle. They beat Brady TWICE. That second time was the most I’ve ever seen Brady get hit and I was generally concerned. They beat Big Ben, Brady, and MVP Cam. They pretty much ruined Cam. Oh and the Legion of Boom had a much better offense and a top 5 Run game!! The Denver Offense was abysmal and Peyton lead the league in INTS while missing 7 games LMAOOOOO. They went 5-2 with Brock Osweiler… I rest my case.

@@archon9383 yeah it was absolute NONSENSE. Browner had the most penalties for a DB over a 4 year stretch and Sherman was getting cooked anytime he was in man to man. Sherman is the most overrated CB I’ve ever seen. A system player who was getting cooked by number two WRs like Roddy White when he was in man to man.

The seahawks were number in so many categories and dominated so many teams. In 2015, the seahawks actually allowed the fewest points again

My Broncos were phenomenal this year because of our defense, because Peyton struggled mightly this season. Our defense saved us this year, while Peyton got things together for the playoffs.
