I gave up on gimmicky mounts years ago. I just bolt D rings along the bottom of the bed corners. Cheap and more useful than having mounts halfway up the bed side.

My 2023 f-350 came with the old style box-link system. Exactly the same as my 2019 was.

I took the brackets off my 2020 super duty and put them on my new 2024 truck, they fit great. Screws right in the same holes.

I wish I could find a bracket that would hold a receiver drop hitch. It would be a very convenient place to store one or two.

Platinum trim comes standard with the boxlinks, still waiting on my truck, hopefully next couple weeks , and we will see what the new links look like, but KR, Limited and Platinum should have these add-ons included , according to my order sheet.

Those are the new tie downs for 2024. There are no attachments for them.

Ford simply created another cash cow by making them separate. You can get the "Boxlink interface kits" for the new trucks through any Ford parts department but no cheap. Might as well just buy BuiltRights and have the versatility of MOLLE panels.

I wish Ford had way more options for there boxlink system. I think you could also get quad ramps that were held in place on those boxlink brackets. I made a shovel/rake/tool holder using my box link brackets and it is so nice having my tools not in the middle if the bed. That is something that definitely could be an accessory from Ford. And i still tie a ton of things down using the box link brackets, I hate using a truck that doesnt have those extra 4 higher tie down points. I would also think it would be awesome if there was an option to have adjustable tie down locations like the Toyota Tacoma bed tie down brackets.

I haven’t tested personally, but I’ve heard E-track accessories fit the boxlink brackets. I’ll test it out later this week. I have Ford load ramps mounted to mine.

My dealer told me that Ford keeps saying that they will be coming out with new tie downs for the new mounts but they have not seen any yet.

My 2023 F-350 KR came with the old style box-link system, must some type of change from Ford.

Check out RAD Ratchet straps. They build Ford plates and work very well, a little pricy though.

I just purchased a 2024 F350 Lariat a week and a half ago. Part of the purchase included the dealer providing me a set of Boxlink Tiedowns to install or I was going to remove them from my 2018 F250. Imagine my surprise when I found out the plate mounted in the bed of the truck was not for the boxlink. It is a factory standard H tiedown plate (feed a rope around the bar of the H I guess). The dealer has agreed to provide the Boxlink Interface plate at no cost. I can guess why Ford did this. $$$ FYI, Ford does have a Boxlink Interface Plate Kit for the F350. Not aftermarket.

You should have pass though wires already in your harness as part of the upfitter switches.

On the 2020 GM truck beds they have 3 tie downs at all 4 corners but on the 2017 GM trucks they only have 1 tie down at each corner. I definitely miss the tie downs in my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

If anyone from Ford can explain WHY there was a need to change this I’d love to hear it. Greed perhaps? When my ‘23 showed up without the cleats, the dealer tried to install a set they had in their parts department only to find that they were different. It took over 2 months for something that used to be included in the truck to show up. All because someone thought it was a good idea to change something that wasn’t broken to apparently force buyers to also replace all their previous accessories with new versions that undoubtedly cost more.

I haven’t yet figured out why one would need removable tie down cleats, with keys. Just simply put in tie down cleats that bolt in and be done with it.

As he mentioned, it also supports the attachment of other accessories. I've only ever used the Boxlink Tiedown.

Well that’s interesting. We got a 2023 F350 dually Lariat in November and ours came with the box link tie downs and they installed perfectly. So maybe this is just a 2024 change?

Ford made a poor choice to change and not tell or include the new inserts. JD found a product that is most likely better than the original at a better price too.

There is no separate part to attach.. that is new tie down point ford is offering that is held on with 4 torx screws.

Crazy thing is the OEM ones were likely made in China.... Same as the wheels and many other parts on many US brand trucks.

@@BigTruckBigRV I get it, and it’s frustrating but at least the profit Ford makes stays in America. That product was purchased from a China based store, so the only money America made was what Amazon gets from the seller and from import tariffs, if any. I always check to try to always purchase from US based stores.
