I think her emotional state played into the working of the spell. Instead of staying calm and continuing the chant she got angry and lashed out, causing him to turn into the scarecrow. We've seen how her emotions play into her spellcasting earlier in the play, and we see it again later. I think this is just another example of it.

I love how you used colors to show how she felt. Green meaning rebirth and life showing how she wanted to give the animals a second chance. Yellow meaning jealousy showing how and why she changed dramatically. Red signafying blood and fire which shows where she comleatly broke. I think I'm over analyzing this

This is my favorite musical. Even higher then Heathers. At first I tought the trobles will be because of her being green, but I just find the way it actually is amazing. She is too moraly high to accept such unjustice and fights, but the folks are too ignorante to lose their comfort, so they attack her. I almoat genuanly cried first time listenong to No Good Deed. I was really worried what they were doing with the animals. I felt it, unlike most of the other musicals I've seen. DEH was also emotional, but not as much to me... No, wait, I fprgpt I cried while listening to So Big So Small, and I cried on Hamilton when Phillip died, that's it. And no - I didn't feel bad for the manipulative sociopath murderer. But this - this is my new favorite musical. The lines where after all attepmts for good questioning her own morality hit too hard. I don't understand why people call Wicked a movie, it's still a Broadway play. Wicked is a spinoff of the Wizard of Oz, it takes play in perspective of the witches, mainly Elphaba or the Wicked Witch of the West. The producers of Wicked have set a year that they may release Wicked as a movie in 2019.

Holy shit I LOVE the way the color of her magic changes with her moods, and the glowing eyes! And her being sad when she says "let all oz be agreed, I'm wicked through and through." was just amazing! I've always thought she sounded too happy to declare it. It should have been tearing her up on the inside. You put that across beautifully
