The no idle AC wasn't working for this unit. I show how to test basic power and ground on the bunk HVAC system.
Found the issue quickly and repaired.

Great video. Having the same issue except the no idle system also doesn’t work in addition to the rear hvac control/display. Dealer hasn’t been of much help so I’ll give your diagnostic method a try.

I have the same problem accept the no idle cool is not lighting, i have changed the batteries still the same i take to the dealer and they said they don’t work on that. I stay in Louisville, ky. And i still have the problem.

I have the same set up except the A/C stops at 12.5v the blower will blow but no cold air any ideas ??

I have the same set up .. My sleeper unit turns on but it doesn't blow cold air ... Any idea what it could be ?

I have the same system. It works as should but will only run no idle with AC on for 10 to 15 minutes before truck starts and idle for 8 hours or more. I just purchased the truck so I changed the batteries under the cat walk to 2 month old AGM’s. The batteries under the driver steps are still what was there when I brought the truck. I’m thinking the batteries under the step need to be replaced. I’m also sure they aren’t AGM’s. Does my guess seem accurate? Trying to avoid taking it to the dealership right now.

@@Btween2 you need to find out if it's shutting off due to voltage. Hook up a volt meter to rear batteries and see what the volts are when it shuts off. They're also programmed to shut off when the batteries reach a certain voltage. Yours may be too high. So if it's shutting off and you still got 12v on batteries. Have a dealership program the voltage cut off to 11.7v. That's the lowest you can do it, it'll still be fine and give quite a bit additional running time.

@@AcousticHills okay thanks. The truck is still idling and doesn’t switch back to no idle until I shutdown and restart the system again. The no idle button light is showing green on the dashboard but once it comes on and the voltage reaches 12.7, the truck starts and never turns off unless I turn it off.

@@Btween2 sounds like you have an auto start/ stop feature on your truck that's acting up. Sadly no way around diagnosing that without dealership software to read why its doing what it's doing.

I have the same issue in my assigned truck i checked the back battery they were disconnected by a mechanic that did some work on the truck could that be what’s causing the unit not to work

@@JunoStatic definitely! Follow the cables from your bunk to make sure they go to the rear batteries (they do from factory but someone could have re-routed them elsewhere). Check to see if they're connected and have power.

My sleeper AC does not blow cold, but the cab blows cold. I noticed when I turn on the sleeper air, the compressor and fan stops working, but once I turn on the cab air, the compressor and fan starts working. The compressor and fan only works when the cab air is turned on . Do you have any idea what could be wrong ?

@@kayodedada3922 check ALL fuses. If you have this same set up, I would make sure you have the power and grounds in this video. Also pull the rear unit ECU connectors to check for corrosion. If it JUST started doing it, sounds like the rear system is dead (front cab and rear sleeper units are seperate systems). If its always been like that, the previous owner could have had programming changed. Recommend to take it to the dealership above basic checks as they have all the manuals (or buy the guys a couple rounds of coffee to have them print it out for you)

@@insanityfatasssounds like a bad thermostat. Thinking it's colder then it is and shutting off.

@@AcousticHills yea I called the the dealership and they think it could be low on Freon which is making the pressure switch go off and turns off the unit

AC cut off and the Auto Start/stop does not ( start the engine )

@@53van need to get the auto start/stop fixed. You'd need DLB to diagnose that and i doubt any mom and pop shop would be able to get that repaired, take it to the dealership.
