My wife had a battery going bad on her car and we needed to use the jump starter to get her going. It worked perfectly and she was able to connect it easily and get back on the road. So easy to connect and start the car. Very impressed. Great purchase.

I bought a Scosche unit after you reviewed it some time ago. I was on a group ride last summer and a fellow rider had a battery issue that plagued him during the entire ride. I used the Scosche jump starter at least five times, (every time we stopped), to jump start his dead battery. All this on a single charge and it had plenty of power left. It’s quite a bit smaller than the T8 Apex, so fits well in a side bag on my new gen GoldWing and is more than adequate for keeping me rolling down the road. Thankfully I haven’t needed it for myself… yet.

Interesting product. I still much prefer the Scosche Jump Pack with Quick Disconnect Kit. Lower cost, don't have to pay for a case, and most especially it is plug and play - no need to pull side panels off to connect for a jump - just plug into the jump dongle.

My sister gave me a jump pack for Christmas about 5 year's ago. Think she got it from Costco or Sam's. I thought this little thing can't start a car until one day had the chance to jump a car and was really impressed it did. Always keep it on the the bike just in case. I've never had to jump either bike but have used it for my riding mower and atv. It's starting to get weak now but is still good for charging my phone or the Cardo on long rides. Time to get another, I'll have to research this one.

Thanks Chris. I went with the Scosche product you reviewed. I liove the harness that I installed that interfaces on my my Battery Tender charger SAE connector and eliminates the need for alligator clip use on my bike as the extension accessory connected to the Scoshe battery. But clips are carried for use on other bikes/cars. Plus they provide a nice case not a bag. If folks like this product for their Goldwing they should purchase Traxxion Dynamics positive terminal extender as get the clips on the OEM terminal is almost impossible due to its location. This product would be great for the family car or truck or roadside assistance. You can never be to prepared for family members. 👍

I still have the Scosche in my saddlebag and their connector attached to the bike. I think I will keep this T8 Apex in our car.

Chris his question was about the Scosche review and the accessory charging cable that interfaces with the SAE battery tender plug. The Positive Terminal extender is for 2018+ Wings. Just to be clear

@@wingandhog no the extended is attached to the battery’s terminals so should work on any motorcycle that has removable terminal bolts. Go to the Scosche ‘em web sit or review the Cruiseman’s product video or Amazon product site.

Hi Cruiseman, Yes I did have a dead battery and was stranded on my 2018 wing. In all my 40 years of riding I have always used yuasa batteries and never ever had a problem until now. Called a tow truck and we jumped it off his truck. Auto store multimeter showed over 14 volts so I rode it home, 90 miles. I will be replacing this battery in the spring and not with a yuasa. I might consider a portable jump starter too with battery leads so you don’t have to take the bike apart to access the battery.

I bought one of these (Deluxe package) and their portable air compressors. Seems to be good quality products. Your discount code worked fine. I wanted to replace my older equipment. Side note: I have never had a dead battery or flat tire while traveling but I have used both (other products) to help other riders.

Dot-dot-dot, Dash-dash-dash, Dot-dot-dot is SOS in Morse Code. In 1979 I helped a buddy with a dead battery get started with a single strand of speaker wire. We held the wire to our two positive terminals and touched chrome exhaust pipes to complete the circuit. In over 40 years of motorcycling, I've never had a roadside dead battery. Only when I try to start a bike that's been parked for too many days.

I'm glad you clarified that gnrands50, you are correct, because I was just about to address Cruiseman's question concerning the blinking light option. I didn't see anyone else explain to him what those flashes meant.

It's not clearly Morse Code. I get a di-di-dah (pause) then a dit (pause) and that's U and E, but from there it's just a mess of flashes of different lengths, but, with no pauses, no letters are defined. Don, KK5DON.

It's too bad that the SAE connector used for trickle charging a battery won't flow the amps needed to jump start as getting to battery isn't simple on all bikes.

I was on a short ride this weekend and after filling up my battery would not start. Had to walk 1/2 mile to buy a jump starter.

I had a battery that started my bike normally in the morning, rode to work and after work the battery was dead. I ended up having to take the bus home. My buddy had a fancy reconditioning charger but the battery could not be revived after being de sulfated and charged repeatedly for 24 hours. This was before jump packs were available, but if I'd had one I would not have had to get the bus to and from work for a few days while I sorted out a new battery. Lucky for me I had a secure underground parking spot for my bike so I did not have to worry about it getting stolen. These days I keep a jump pack in the bags on my Goldwing and one in my tool bag on my Honda Fury. I also use a bluetooth battery monitor on both the Goldwing and Fury. They report into an app on my iPhone so I can see at a glance the current state of my batteries. A bluetooth battery monitor is not super expensive in Australia at around AU$40 and it is worth every cent to know how exactly what state your battery is in.

Don’t forget to get the Traxxion Dynamics extended positive battery bolt so you have something to clip the charger to.

Can it jumpstart your bike through the Deltran battery charger trickle charger plug I leave on my bike all the time ??

You can get these on Amazon for $60 and up and the cheaper one’s work fine. My 69 dollar charger starts my diesel truck easily. They hold a charge for months.

My only problem with buying this wonderful battery charger that's pretty well expensive is that it's guaranteed for up to five years. Five years goes by fast and then I would have to purchase another one. That's really too bad. I would love to buy this one but the cost is too high for me.

I was riding with my girlfriend and her motorcycle battery died cause she left her key in open position I had installed cables on my bikes for charging purposes I was able to successfully jump start her bike with mine I can either attach an extended cable to my cable and clamp to her battery or I also bought a 12ft cable that would connect both bikes together from each charging cable attatch to each battery thats my preferred method cause you dobt yave to attatch any clamps to battery you dont have to take anything a part

I prefer the Scosche for my motorcycle because if the SAE connector option. I keep the Fantik in my car and I like that it recharges with USB C

It is really cool looking. I like the scrambler look and the way they colored the engine covers. My only concern is with the fat tires making the bike harder to handle.

I don't believe the alligator clamp will fit on the positive terminal of a goldwing, there is very limited space for the clamp to fit.

I think Scotty Kilmer reviewed this and said it was a piece of junk.

Scotty did pan this jumper, but he clearly did not learn how to use it correctly in 'flat' battery situations. If the battery being jumped is below 8 v, you need to use a manual override feature. Hold the on button and the light button at the same time. This overrides some of the safety protection to jump a really low battery.

I disagree on the Fanttik. I see more and more complains about it. Especially cold starts even if the pack is fresh. Not so reliable after all. Hulkman 85S, Gooloo better choices.

🤓👍🏻tried pushing Harley to get started. It easy because of high compression. 😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦 remember it all motorcycle batteries are easy to get to like a car. Be much better to hard wire a system partly in,like heavy duty wire tire minder style. 😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦

The day after I released the video, a neighbor had a dead battery, but they replaced it before I had a chance to test out the jump starter. I have put everyone I know on notice that if a battery dies to let me try jumping it. And, I will make a video.

@@cruisemansgarage .. In a pinch with no dead battery available to test, you can always disconnect the car battery and just use the jump pack as the battery. So it would be testing the case where the battery had 0V. You would have to put the jump pack in override mode as voltage is less than 8V.
