Important note: Japanese Mayo is very different than Mayo your thinking of. It tends to be a lot sweeter in flavor. It's also worth noting that Japanese kids grow up putting mayo on everything. It's kind of the universal topping mix in. You can get Mayo on rice and curry. Especially if there is egg involved. Mayo and egg are very often paired together. I'm not a fan of mayo on general so this is mostly what I've seen and been told. I can also totally see why egg would be put on pizza. Though this does go to show you need to be very aware of local variations on Americanized concepts especially in Japan.

As someone who has been throughly engrained in pizza culture for the entirety of my life, here are the very simple requirements for your pizza to be considered a pizza : 1) Dough crust. Self explanatory. Chicago “pizza” doesn’t count, it’s a pie. Don’t @ me. 2) either pesto or tomato sauce base. Breakfast “pizza” or “pizza” Blanca are not pizzas. They are simply cosplayers or flatbread dishes like huevos rancheros or any of those Indian dishes that use naan covered in chicken. 3) mozzarella cheese ON TOP of the sauce base. If your pizza does not include mozzarella, on top of a pesto or tomato base, it’s not a pizza, it’s a glorified charcuterie board cracker with a severe identity problem. Lunchables pizza packs deserve to be sued for false advertising, as neither cheddar nor any other cheese is a viable substitute. 4) whatever toppings you want. As long as you have met the previously provided 3 requirements, creative liberty is yours my friend. You can put all kinds of shit on a pizza, from pineapple to artichoke to sausage and onions. Past the basic base for the pizza, it’s a very versatile dish, and can be shaped to your desire (as long as it’s on a crust, with either pesto or tomato sauce, and has mozzarella cheese on top of said sauce)! I'm Turkish and I can confirm that: the ''pizza'' shown in 5:27 isn't actually pizza, it's a separate dish called ''Lahmacun''. İts most commonly made of red peppers, minced meat and a special thin dough. the way that Turkish people eat it is like how you said it. Think of it as a thinner, littler pizza that has minced meat and is eaten like you are eating a burrito.

I lived in Russia my entire life of almost 32 years, and never heard of that fishy pizza. Pizzas here are mostly pretty generic, but if there is a distinct Russian style of pizza, that would be a mini pizza with ketchunaise as a sauce, sliced hot dog/glizzy (ham if you're lucky), occasional cabbage, and very... econimical amounts of cheese. However pizza places don't usually offer this kind of pizza, but you can find them in a sketchy street food kiosks or a school caffeterias.
