This set got me back into Pokemon Cards...so why does no one like it??
The Pokemon Sword And Shield expansion set: Battle Styles is one of the most disliked sets in recent years. But I think that's unfair. This set re-introduced Alternate Arts to the TCG, plus had tons of great full arts, rainbow rares, and more. So let's crack open a box of Battle Styles and give this set the respect it deserves!

The zubat is actually crochet - and the art is actually a photograph. The artist, Asako Ito, crochets the Pokémon and sets the scene and then takes a photo to make the art on the card. So all of the Pokémon on her cards actually exist in the world as shown on the card. I thought that was so cool when I found it out, since I also crochet (although not nearly as well as her). She's done 30 cards so far, and I love them.

I've actually got the same soft spot for this set for the same reason! I took a break from collecting cards partway through the XY era and got back into it right after the Shining Fates crazed, so I picked up a booster box of Battle Styles and pulled the singular card that I wanted, the sleepy Tyranitar. I was beyond ecstatic and have been in love with collecting again ever since, the alt arts have been the best thing to ever happen to Pokemon cards

When you started this channel I didn’t get the card thing but now I really love opening up Magic Packs and playing the game. Foafy I both thank you and curse you for this (because dang cardboard is expensive)

the set that got me back into pokemon tcg was lost origin! i’m still buying it today, even after months, if not a year i think, of its release. it makes me nostalgic especially after the new ex, silver boarder, scarvo era came out

Foafy, just wanted to ask if you are still looking for other types of cards to open, because the Magic thr Gathering Lord of the Rings cards are still kinda hyped up atm, and i just saw someone post about newly released Avatar the Last Airbender cards.

I find myself just clicking videos based on the channel it comes from ^^ I don't read or really even look at thumbnails >< All that said it is soooo cool to hear about what makes a video "work" and get clicks ^^
