Im really happy to once again see the more authentic side of Nux. These sort of moral and philosophical breakdowns are the reason I subscribed and the topics often discussed within are the reason i got into anime to begin with. I know its not realistic to ask for old content and its probably annoying to hear things like "i miss the old nux"... im just happy to see that circumstances have brought this relatable content out once again.

The part you reference about yusuke asking what am I fighting for plays in my head a lot. I was surprised someone else said that. I figured it was just me considering I’m on all kinds of Yu Yu groups and never heard anyone else bring that up. A lot of this anime coincides with my own life from bein in school and skipping, to fighting constantly, hell even dying when I was 14.

Gonna tell you, your talk about reasons to fight has really inspired me and I have decided, after watching this video, to take a look at my life and the reasons I'm fighting here and now. I have had this crisis before, but it just ocurred to me that it was almost 5 years ago and that my reasons to keep fighting may have changed since then, and that may be the reason I don't always feel right all the time anymore. Also that talk about being sheltered and having your world view change, I consider my parents to be open minded people, but my world view has started to change recently and your whole speech has put what is happening to me into perspective and made me rethink my next steps. Also also, I'd like to recomend to you, and anyone that feel similar, that you start seeing a psychologist. I don't know what your views on them are, but there are some common myths that say psychologists are just for crazy people or for when you have a mental illness like depression or anxiety. But they are actually suposed to be a line of defense to prevent that, they give you an envoirement to freely talk with someone about your life completely without judgment and recieve some advices, life lessions and epiphanies as a bonus. Sorry if this got confusing, I'm mostly puting my ideas in order after watching (and being inspired by) your video. I also got covid and marathoned a beloved series these last few days, and you have given me even more to think about after that. I hope you keep fighting and find a good reason to fight. Keep on keeping on!

oh gods! i went around looking for yu yu hakusho content to write a fanfic to "refresh" my memory a bit and HOLY HELL did i find a gem here! XD seriously. i had never seen you before, but looking at yu yu hakusho best quotes got me here and i AM SO GLAD first off, i just wanna say i have the exact viewpoint on this show as you do~ i honestly never thought i would find someone -let alone a youtuber- that would share the EXACT thought processes i have on this series. this makes me feel so validated you have no idea. second off, this anime is on my top five list. the reason being as it resonates with me so much, not just the reasons you gave, but because i relate to every character of the main four and turguro and sensui in some way or another. i watch this anime when i feel at my absolute lowest. by the time im done watching all four seasons, i have found my own reason to keep going again. this anime has helped me time and time again find the will to keep going. with its witty humor, great story telling, and relatable characters i find myself following them through out all four seasons and come back out with new understanding of myself. thirdly, the other reason i love this series is because it reminds me of when i had my first break through. i was in jounior high, the same as yusuke and Kurwabura when i watched chapter black on toonami one episode at a time. -damn showing my age much? XD- up to the point of finding out why sensui was doing what he was doing i was all "yeah they're the bad guys" and didnt give the other side much thought. i was a sheltered child, raised on the black and white logic in society at the time. so it was a no brainer for me Sensui was evil. however when it was shown WHY he snapped. WHY he was doing what he was doing.... it made me question EVERYTHING. now i didnt snap like Sensui did, i was blessed with parents that were open minded so i was able to think it through. BUT it made me think "hes gotta point...maybe not everything is as black and white as i was lead to believe." i will ALWAYS be thankful for the breakthrough. it made the person i am today. someone who is empathetic, that i can see both sides of a situation and not make a knee jerk decision without considering all my options. Sensui hits different for me on all levels and to this day is STILL one of my top anime villans of all time. and LASTLY thank you for this vid. thank you so much. i mean it really, i am subscribing to you right now. your funny and seem like a genuine person to watch ^^ and yes...i too remember VSH tapes in my youth XD -oh look! im showing my age again! YYH is hands down my favorite anime. I rewatch it every year at some point and it's such a comfort to me.

i legitamately needed this vid. long story short i went from happy in my relationship to the single father of a corpse, and have been struggling ro find myself through all of it, and the Toguro section hit hard. mostly for the fact that Toguro had the chance for a decent afterlife and chose hell because he felt je sisnt deserve happiness because of his choices, and ive been having those tboughts too. not suicide or anything, but the belief that i dont deaerve to be happy, but this video has been such a big help i can never properly thank you. you made me realize why i was fighting my battles before all the shit started. i know youll never see this since im a month late, but i wanted to thank you for helping me realuze who i am and why i dezerve to be happy. hope things get better for you and hope your doing well after getting the plague. anyways thank you for your help and ill be tuning in more often from now on.

This is why I like Nux, he is extremely open about things like these in such a way that you can't imagine it ever being fake, some people may take offense but that's why I watch him, bc I know he doesn't care whether he is controversial or not, it feels so honest, there are youtubers who try not to offend anyone at all (or just not offend the louder group) but you can tell that's not what they actually think, these days it's so hard to know whether someone is genuine or not but I think it's safe to say that Nux is being completely honest, (unless he is an absolute mastermind who is secretly planning to take over the universe with the billy army :0)

I go from abnormally giddy about things and doing things, to existentially knowimg that nothing I do will ever help anyone, despite any proof otherwise, and back again, and hover between, frequently and seemingly at random. The algorithm doing the same is why I will probably never KZfaq as a career. I don't need the outside world doing the same. Nux, do you know someone who is depressed? Because if so, there is someone you can talk to about the algorithm, because their outlook on life is affected by their internal algorithm.

Honestly, this was a beautiful video. The themes of "Why do you fight" were beautifully represented in this video and Yu Yu Hakusho. I know the chances of you reading this are unlikely but I would really love the Hunter X Hunter video. Also, you should make whatever content you want, whether it's anime dubs or no one understands videos. I love your channel and I'll stick by it. Sensui's problem, I think, was that he fought for ideal humanity. When he learned that real humanity is flawed, his ideal shattered, and he could not forgive humanity for not being up to his standard. The problem stems from lack of empathy with weak creatures, both human and demon, as he was never weak. Shattering his idea shattered Sensui as he struggled to accept real humanity as whole and those shards were poisoned with all he couldn't accept in himself as he too was not perfect. Sad story of strength and pride, really.

I love your stuff because of how down to earth you are. You make me think about the day to day. Instead of the grand scale you make me think about the individual issues I face. One of the best shounen anime, even when compared to modern anime. The characters are really well written and it has one of the best tournament story arcs. The characters are not crazy overpowered and relatable.

I find it always interesting, when Nux has a philosophical talk about both anime and videogames. It makes you think about it. That's why his Undertale videos are one of my favourites. It makes you appreciate them even more than before.

Nux, relatively new fan here. I always loved the way your videos showed a carefree and chaotic persona, and even when you sit down to talk about something important, that comes through in an endearing way. The way I think about life is that each day is a step forward, and that its up to each of us to make that step count to going to where we ultimately want to go. It's always hardest when where you want to go seems too far away, or if it seems completely elusive. The important part is to keep going because with enough walking... hell, you might end up in a place you didn't know you wanted to be all along.

I missed these kind of videos. Dunking on toxicity and goofing off with your friends is always fun to watch, but seeing you as a genuine human being has always been cool to me.
