Me too mate , I must be honest though when I lost the signal for the mapping I was worrying that I was gonna have a year bashing for being in the wrong place off some walkers or farmer , but safe to say the lane is fine , will have to go back and ride the bit I couldn't find another time 👍

Thanks Steve, yes your right I need to get one of those foot extenders as its a pain in the butt without one. I have got the garmin montana on the bike at the moment but because I was following a lane I had on my phone and was local, I didn't bother to charge the garmin, that won't be happening again, I have seen the zumo and the screen looks a fair better display than the montana so I may upgrade in time . We had a month of lovely sunshine in June and its been mostly rain since 😩 Hope your managing to get out on some rides mate 👍

Thanks Junior , the tyre seems to be holding up okay , don't think it's going to be very long lasting, but that's my fault for buying the intermediate not the ht, its a great tyre for grip , I'll do a video on it soon. 😀

Trailwise 2 I'm using atm , I've not used the GRM if I'm honest , I've heard you mention that you use it for plotting your routes.how do you find it ? Have you used trailwise ? That's always a gutting when you make the effort to go to events and the weather spoils it , it's no fun trying to ride at a pace when you can't see properly .

@@myktmadventures Most say TW2 is better and more up to date than the GRM. GRM isn’t easy to use on the trail, but you can, so I just always plot a route and then follow it, but sometimes you find a lane is impassable so you do have to be prepared to edit on the fly. Yeah because I wear glasses I can’t ride at speed without them, and so once my goggles and then glasses get dirty I’m screwed. I’ve bought an LS2 explorer helmet, the visors are only about £30 on them, roost can be savage in the races, so gonna test that, see what it’s like in the rain.

I find it good in general , caught out a bit on this ride tho , because it was only a local one I didn't bother to charge my garmin which meant because I had no signal I had nothing to reference to that I was going the right way or to find the right way out , I was worrying because the place was very pretty and I didn't fancy a ticking off . Your video was good on the os maps and the phone , I may look into getting a cheap 2nd phone so I can put my quadlock back on and run it alongside the garmin. Will you be putting a video up of the beacons at all?

@@myktmadventures no, they wouldn’t let us film it, they said people were using KZfaq footage to trace the route we took. Pretty gutted about that. Next round is IOM in September
