I salute her for getting on camera and being so transparent. No matter what it looks like; the struggle is real! I’m praying for EVERYONE that’s caught up in this struggle!

Addiction is such an odd thing. I'm an addict. I would've have sold my soul for a hit if crack 4yrs ago. . . I ran and ran the streets untill my body would literally give out on me. My family and I are not small women at alll, as my grandma says we're ''big boned'' I'm normally atleast 150 . . . I got down to 90 pounds. I think I was even smaller. I couldn't find no shirt to fit me so I tied a regular dollar tree bandana around my chest and it fit like a shirt. Now imagine now if anyone had a bandana go get it and look at how small you'd have to be to use it as a belly shirt. I sold my body (thankfully I was never raped or caught a anything) but I also always used protection and stood by my morals. And on the street that's a hard thing to do bc I'd say 94% of addicts are alll about THEM and what they can get from YOU. Most people start getting high and lose their self all together. I lost myself but I definitely kept my morals. Like I never stolen from people, I don't take advantage of people. I'm no angel by far I've took money from me who thought they were gonna have sex with me for a lousy $50 and I took their money and ran instead. I'm not gonna say I've never done a date for $50 bc I definitely have and that's the sad part and that's when I knew I had to stop. I'm not the most beautiful women in the world by far but i do know my worth and one day I was in a hotel with a man that thought I was his girlfriend, he was about 20yrs older than me. He gave me money, paid my rent and everything for almost 2yrs and I'm thankful for him bc he ''saved a hoe" 😂 I can laugh about it now but I'm dead ass. He cared for me enough and saw my ''potential'' as he says and he helped me to stop using and now I'm 4yrs clean and when I think back i can't even imagine me hitting a pipe like I'm a completely different women now. God is good and trust me If you trust in him he will lead the way . . . Prayers for her 💙🥰🙌🏼

WOW... When she SAID: I'm STILL in here 😢 Lord that touched me because what that meant was deeper than most could begin to understand... THAT hurt child within her is still wanting to live she's STILL fighting trying to get the hurt Fatima healed so that her entire being can become whole again with the Love she always longed for... Her pain is so deep.

I had a mom who was a nurse and she never taught me a thing about periods or sex at all....I woke up one day with my bed covered in blood and she just said ...well I guess you got your period.....I was already 16. She never told me about anything...no birth control. She just said....don't ever have sex unless you married and yet she'd already been with two boyfriends after my father died. Interestingly she was on birth control for a medical reason. It's hypocritical when parents expect their kids will turn out to have higher standards than them...lol. it's sad when you receive no guidance on how to be an adult.

For someone with only an eighth grade education, Fatima is very intelligent and has above average diction. I'm a former educator of over thirty years, had she not revealed her limited educational experience, I'd never known. If this young lady can get well and have the right support, I have no doubt she would excel and become that nurse or even a doctor. It won't be easy but this young lady is smart. Its heart breaking that as a child the actions of her mother spiraled her life out of control. I'd like to know the full story of her mom and the decision to take her babies out of foster care that landed her in prison for 3 1/2 years?? Was something nefarious going on in that home that the mom reported but was ignored about or did she just take them because she disagreed with the Judge and State?? I wonder where her mom is today. Fatima has 7 children of her own, all adopted and not in her life. As a parent, I could not fathom that torture and pain. I am so sorry she had such a hard life as a child. Now as an adult, I pray she can get it together but sad thing is...without the motivation of being mommy to her kids again, she may not have the WILL to move forward and fight to get clean. I pray I am wrong but its a sad reality:(

I feel for you Fátima, some of us have been in your shoes. To the point that you don't care if you live or die because you feel already dead inside. But please don't give up this situation you're in it's only temporary, unfortunately it's a price you have pay by been an addict and it's not your fault. There is a way out. You're young, beautiful and strong, even if you don't feel like it right now. Look at the positives: there are places near you in Kensington that can help you. Go to a shelter and ask for help. Prevention point could be a start. Detox it's just tough but you only have to do it once. If you finish a program they will help with housing, and so on. MAL is there to help if you need it and so are we, the AML family. Make it a new beginning today. I'll pray 🙏 and root for you. Our school systems here in south central Pennsylvania are lacking big time. Things like this are still going on. How do you justify put somebody who didn't complete first second or third grade into fourth grade because of their age with no extra support and expect them to thrive? I can imagine her as a beautiful mother. She has a nice smile and a good caring heart. I hope her kids do look for her when they are older. I hope they won't judge her or resent her. I also pray that they all are in a safe loving home and are together or keeping intouch in some capacity. If they're not together I pray they will reunite and stay together. I can't imagine having brothers and sisters out there somewhere and not know exactly where they are and unable to recognize them if I saw them. I really wish there was someone in her family that would have taken them in and raised her kids and made sure they stayed together and in eachother lives.
