Gajar ka Halwa also known as Carrot Halwa is a traditional recipe that originated in Punjab. In Punjabi language, it is called gajrela. This delicacy is enjoyed all over India, however, it is made in different ways. Some follow the traditional method of using full-fat milk, while others use condensed milk and sometimes even using khoya. Well, I have prepared this Gajar ka Halwa using the traditional recipe. I have also included some tips that will help you in making the Halwa rich in texture and delicious.
Ingredients:
Carrots: ½ kg
Milk: 1 ltr
Stevia: 90 grams / ½ cup (however you can decrease the quantity if you don't want it to be very sweet.)
Ghee: 100 grams / ½ cup
Almonds: 25 grams
Cashews: 25 grams
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
