Neither, it is 1/2 poly with adjustable emitters that you can put right where you want water and adjust the flow. With soaker hose I believe you are right over 50’ they don’t work very well and don’t water evenly. My dad uses drip tape and said you can run 900’ per valve easy. My systems are all working good.
