@@veganpotterthevegan I don’t think Coleman’s best days are behind him…I think he is working on something and I can see what it is. Notice, in the past, Coleman always had a great start and faded in the end, although his 9.7’s were after peaking and he focused on the top (he and Shelly Anne had the exact same issue, and we see hers is fixed). He’s fading so much in large part because he reaches his top speed too fast; this always slows folks down in the end of the 100M. Coleman trained hard on 200M and 400M last year to work on this, he has improved his top, and I think he is now working on taking a little off the front to maintain better in the end.
@veganpotterthevegan

@stevie586 he hasn't improved his top speed. He's simply lost less of his top speed than his acceleration. If you were right, he would have PR'd in the 200 last season. Instead, his top 200 has gotten slower every year since his suspension was over. No idea what you're watching😅

@@DAmicoDanceHouston you say Bolt's records aren't that far anymore. Are you talking about his 9.58s? If so, you are out of your mind. 6.43s changes nothing. As far as the 200m goes, his 6.43s changes nothing in my eyes. Thank you for stating something I stated last since Milrose. Simply put, if Noah is consistent with this start and acceleration, while maintaining his usual top speed and maintenance, there isn’t a person on this planet who can beat him in the 100M! @Yes_I_c4n
@Yes_I_c4n 3 ай бұрын
Coleman is clearly not in his usual shape. An in-shape Coleman will always be favorite against Lyles over the 60m, let's be honest here. An in-shape Coleman runs sub 6.35s... Also, 100m? You're getting a bit ahead of yourself. Last 100m race Lyles was in, he lost to Coleman in 9.83s. In that race, Lyles split 6.48s and clocked 9.85s. Had Lyles split 6.43s in that race, Lyles would have clocked 9.80s in that race, if he would be able to keep the 60...100m split time he got in that race, which let's just assume he would. Also, let's see how the other sprinters deliver. It's not only Lyles who can improve. Tebogo is a big unknown, for instance. Also, don't forget Lyles split 6.43s already, in Budapest. It's not like he is showing us something completely new.
@Yes_I_c4n
@Yes_I_c4n 3 ай бұрын
@@faustindutoybouley534 Do you think you can do that, though? Do you know how many people have split 6.35s? Lyles' not splitting 6.35s. I don't think he can go sub 6.4s.

@Yes_I_c4n 3 ай бұрын
@@faustindutoybouley534 I feel you. Didn't expect him to win the 100m last year at worlds, based on his season's performances. But fact of the matter is, there's no Bolt, Gay, Gatlin, Asafa or prime Blake around anymore, so it becomes anyone's game. If you can go sub 9.9s, on any given day you can get the W. It wasn't lile that back when those guys were around.

200m in Olympics is looking to be a classic. It is likely that running 19.7 will not even get a medal! I will not be surprised to see Noah and Tobogo both being under 19.4, and at least one will be under 19.3 but even that assumes Knighton is not also running sub 19.5 maybe sub 19.4 and could be challenging come the last 60m. With that talent in the race it would not be a surprise if the WR goes, although at this stage I think only Noah has the current capabilities to do so. Not even the 100m will be as dramatic as the 200m final - unless of course injuries rob us of this contest
