I am no expert, but I find 150 m to be a good balance between reaction time plus starting- and sprinting abilities. In 100 m I think the start matters a bit too much.

I saw you said that you are from Atlanta, so it would be cool if you happened to be there (I'm assuming you won't but it would be amazing to meet you). My pr is a 4:25 1500m, so I'm hoping to go sub 4:40 this Saturday. This 150 looks stacked though. Thanks so much for making this amazing video!

tbh im looking forward to watching all of the races lol but i think now that Lyles has his new faster start and drive phase and still has his top end speed and strength i think he could potentially break Bolts record
@Yes_I_c4n
@Yes_I_c4n 27 күн бұрын
That's highly, highly, unlikely. Lyles should be roughly in the same shape he was in last season, maybe a tad better. So, 14.5s ish seems more likely. That said, I'm not saying that Bolt's record in the 150m is unbeatable - it's not, as nobody is peaking for the 150m. I mean, put Berlin 09 Bolt running the 150m straight, and he would possibly go low 14s and even sub 14s. Berlin's Bolt jogged his SF faster than he split (going hard) the 100m in his 14.35s (9.89s vs 9.91s). Put it simply, Bolt could jog the first 100m faster than he did in his 14.35s and could then drop the hammer for the final 50 with tons of speed reserve. Obviously, Bolt would not be jogging for the 1st 100m, so he would likely go 9.7s for the first 100m and then around 4.3/4.35s for the final 50m.

Interesting that they switched him from 2nd to Anchor from the Prelim to the Final & ran slower, not sure that's an experiment they're gonna carry on with @Euro Champs/Olympics seeing as GBR usually runs sub 38s with him on 2nd, will keep an eye out for it.

@@yawos9024 Tebogo got beaten by Courtney Lindsey over the 200m this year, and Courtney Lindsey a couple of weeks later got absolutely destroyed by Kenny Bednarek over the 200m. Tebogo is fast over 100m and 200m but his best event is the 400m. He is the 300m world record holder right now and at the Bahamas Relay World Championship the past week he was destroying other world class 400m runners over 4x400m I actually think Tebogo is the strongest 400m sprinter in the world right now. Tebogo could medal in the 100m/200m or miss out by a hair because there are several other sprinters who can run similar times to him over 100m/200m, but over the 400m he is much more dangerous. If Van Niekerk, Norman and Gardiner are not at the their very best this season, none of them will be able to beat Tebogo over the 400m at Paris. I REALLY think he should run the 400m at Paris because he has a really strong chance of winning the Gold, whilst over the 100m/200m he is strong but there is no guarantee he will medal in either.
