It’s funny how people will give a guy that was deemed bad by everyone until they got into a better system like Geno, Tua, Hurts , Goff, Baker , Cousins , I could go on, but they won’t give the same consideration for Carr.

In the interest of fairness, that's because Carr hasn't had the chance to show them how he looks in this system yet. I hope I'm not being optimistic when I say that if Carr balls out the fan base will give him his flowers.

Goff and Carr have consistently been good when they have coordinators that use their talents. Seems like saints might have a good coordinator.

Carr alone makes the qb room top 20 at least. He’s easily a middle of the pack qb(top 15) with good circumstances. I think Nick is being a Homer regarding the backups. They ain’t moving the needle for nobody. The wr room being low is shocking but if you’re being objective, the only guy they got is Olave. Everybody else is unproved. 28 is fair to me. Anything above top 15 then you being a Homer.

I see we have entered the part of the offseason where prior seasons are sufficiently in the rear view and the Saints media once again become hype merchants. QB - Carr is solidly in the 18th-22nd best QB range. OL - bottom 5 unit RB - Jamaal Williams is a massive bust, clearly had a fluke year in 2022 running behind the best OL in the league. AK41 is at the age where RB’s fall off a cliff and has already been declining for several seasons. Miller could be great but he spent most of his rookie season on IR. Can he stay healthy? TEs - Are we still counting on JJ to take a step up from his 2022 performance? Foster Moreau is a JAG. The TE room is a bottom 10 unit. WR’s - Olave is a potential superstar… Shaheed is a poor man’s Percy Harvin and is not a true #2… the rest of the WR room is “hope and potential” Overall a below average unit. DL - bottom 10 unit in the league. Cam is washed, Granderson is slightly above average… everything depends on “hope and potential” with Chase Young. LB - DeMario is fantastic but how much longer can he defeat Father Time? Werner is a JAG. The secondary is obviously the strength of the entire team. I don’t have much negative to say about them… top 10 unit at minimum, top 3 potential. Fans won’t admit it, but the there is a substantial talent deficiency on this team… drafting has just been not good enough since 2017, too many busts. Way, way too many “what ifs” and too much dependence on “potential” with this team when discussing the upcoming season. I’m not buying any of it until I see it on the field- I’ve been burned for the past 3 seasons… not again. We will win 7 or 8 games and get the same excuses from Loomis- “injuries, brand new offensive system, etc etc.” DA will not be fired (barring some extreme circumstances, like a 2 win season and lost locker room), even when they miss the playoffs again. DA will be here as long as Carr is here, so through the 2025 season at least.

Absolutely insane how Nick has changed his views on RBs I mean no shit you not groundbreaking to say you want 2-3 round RBs on the roster but how do come your stats said Ak was a top 3 player on the roster last year??? This season was enough to make him expendable for kendre miller who we’ve seen 5 good plays and Jamal who showed nothing??

10-7 Pretty sure a decent offensive coordinator will be a huge difference maker. Even for the defense. They were good last year but if your defense is on the field for 2/3 of every game, they're bound to give up some points.
