I laugh so much when I hear him talk. But it's not because he's being "funny" (though he does have a good sense of humor), or that I'm laughing at him. It's a joyful laugh, something about the way he frames things makes me happy and good-natured.

Lynch is so sincere and articulate about how he thinks, which is jarring to a lot of people. It's painful to watch interviewers laughing at things he says that obviously he keeps close to his heart, even if they're a little out there. I like the way he thinks; it's helped me immensely in my own artwork. Love to Lynch forever!

Yeeah, I've learned to bring a blank notebook and pen around everywhere I go, because losing a great idea can take a lot out of you. Feels like you lose a piece of yourself.

Lynch is such an inspirational and legendary person. Twin peaks was one of my favorites of his work. I haven't gotten to see a lot of his work, but his uniqueness and creativity is addictive.

Or youth. David wasn't so confident in his early interviews either. He aged, got into TM, and grew. This is an insult to DL by proxy.

Once, myself and a couple of friends had a long banter (half drunk) about what it would be like to get into a "sexting" relationship with Lynch. It was funny, abstract, beautiful, horrific. Years later, we all remember it with such fondness and clarity. That's it. I'm not going anywhere with this.

Wow, this interview is great! Hearing David Lynch talk about a collective consciousness and the "the suffocating rubber clown suit of negativity" is amazing. This is almost like a way better version of Inside the Actor's Studio.

His art is very dark and depressing but it is nevertheless deep and its artistic and its a criticism towards society which also gets heard because of the intensity in which it is scripted and presented. Friedrich Nietzsche wrote "If you want your message to be heard it has to be presented with thunder and lightening." I wished it wasn't so but it is.

wow, he is right up there with Eckhart Tolle! He is talking about negativity, which is like a rubber clown suit, or you could also refer to it as the pain body. In a way, drinking and drugs are a form of escapism from the pain body. Screaming and acting crazy releases all that negative energy. I have never had a party as crazy as what is shown in the video, but pretty close! I love the song Crazy Clown Time, it is primal and powerful!

+Noisey : the ad at 10:50 interrupted the video and wouldn't load properly; had to refresh the page several times (rewatching ads w/every attempt) to get the video back, then had to advance beyond the ad point in order to keep watching, which forced me to lose some of the dialogue. very disruptive.
