Just like Ondrej Kase, supreme potential but dammit them brain issues.. hate to see stuff like that, derailing promising hockey careers. Paul Kariya could have been one of the greatest players ever if not for Scott Stevens. Eric Lindros too. Now I'm not comparing either Patrick or Kase to Kariya or Lindros as far as playing ability, but regardless, with all 4 of these guys, wouldn't you like to have seen all of them meet or even exceed their respective ceilings? Brain injuries and conditions are a bitch.

Near the end, the broadcast team mentions that there is no ear protection on Nolan Patrick’s helmet. They should tell him that he needs them there. He has had too many issues with his head (injuries).

Believe me getting migraines is no joke, as I tend to get a lot of them myself, worst one I had went non-stop for a week, everything sounds louder than it should, light hurts the eyes, can't sleep for long either, so I understand what he's going through when he gets them. I hope for a quick recovery.

anyone knows why the helmets we buy in store ALL have ear protections on them, and none of the pros are actually wearing them...why? To me a puck or a stick to the ear can be very painful...pretty easy to fuck up a ear too in the fury of action.

How many comments are gonna be about that Russian kid here? Everyone focusing on these headshots like airplane accidents. The more you look for it, the more of them you'll see. It's always happened, but now everyone is looking for them, and televising them, and thinking there's an epidemic of it. Sorry, I'm just tired of every channel jumping on the headshot train every chance they get.
