Please note, Germany is the country of "no speed limit" highways / Autobahn. So in some places, it's allowed to drive top speed. If you want to do this by youtself, you are welcome to visit Germany. No that is not how you do it. The particles in order to removed from the filter, the speed of the car has to be steady, in order to reach the temperature, and maintain it.

xperform xperformance dude we are joke . And believe me this can clean it good . You talking about regeneration option in BMW service with special cleaning material then to drive around 30 km with normal speed . This you have to pay for it around 250 dollars.

Thats an amazingly long 7th gear (S7). Went from 200-250 kph. Proves the tremendous torque of this engine.

Makes no more horses past 4500 and torque drops off at 3500 so should have went to 8th in D mode at 4400rpms

Because it is allowed. You can drive safety and fast at the same time. As long as you can control your car, hold enough distance from other cars infront of you etc. it is allowed to drive fast.

260 is nothing here in Germany, most cars with a decent motor doing more than 200 or even 250... the real shit starts at 300+

How long is 8th gear? It really needed an upshift into 8th at 250km/h - diesels are gasping at nearly 5000rpm.

@@MrTomekimagda What I know is that, at 3:03' the speedo max out before the rev counter reaches 5k, with the rev limit starting about 5,400rpm. And in either case, it is interesting see the internet believing that it knows better than BMW's Engineer's what the ratios should be, really amazing. I guess you guys have the torque vs revs curve of this engine right in front of you and you 've studied it in detail.

I wonder what the verbrauch is like at those speeds compared to a gas car. I pinned an Audi diesel for like 3 hours straight and the consumption was still reasonable. That really turned me on to diesel cars.

How come you only used 7th gear and why rev the engine to 4900rpm ? Take a look at the power band. Torque has collapsed to just 300lbs after 4500rpm. The 700nm of torque are available between 2500 and 3600rpm. The car was struggling to accelerate in both 6th and 7th gears after 4500 rpm. If you up shift at 3800 rpm you will reach the 260 kph top speed much quicker and go even faster in 8th gear rather than 7th gear because the engines 380 hp is at 4000rpm, by 4800 rpm in 7th its only 310hp. In 8th gear you would have 70hp more and 250lbs of extra torque.

In order to squeeze max acceleration from an engine you must be familiar with concepts such as torque at the wheels, gear ratios, and torque and power curves of course, not just the last thing.

100-200 - yes.. The xdrive seems to be killing it. I had a 335i e92 manual with bolt on mods and off the shelf map - 9 secs 100-200.

Quiet running car - proof that you don't need to make a lot of noise to go fast. 50 years ago BMW made a 1600, 2002, and the 2002 tii (fuel injected). The 2002 tii was known in Germany as the Silent Bomb, in German, of course. Upwards of $4,000 in 1971. Woulda' been nice, but I had to settle for a Datsun 510 ($1995). Had a BMW R60 motorcycle, though. Also very quiet. I hate noise!

I reached the 250 kmh with my 730d f01 too damn man i was near to shit in my seat. I saw the cooling temperature ist minimal over 100 degrees is that normal ? As i saw this i was a little bit scary by mine f01 too

At top speed you won't go further that 5km/Liter..converting in Miles per Gallon, it should be something like 11,75 or above..

I have 535d e60 with some modifications... way more quicker than that. I watched this Video because i thought F10 is faster but the time it needs 200 - 250 is more than the Double of time my car needs... and limit 250 is totally garbage
