@@NomadColossus I find it funny how the deleted colossi are cooler than the in game ones. Which removed colossi would you love to fight the most? My guess is the Monkey

@@ShroomBerry75 I don’t think it’s that it’s cooler. People are always intrigued by the “what ifs” in life. Like look at half life 2’s early development.

For example 11 and 14. They're the least impressive ones. Phoenix, Worm, Spider they all look way more amazing.

The ones I would have loved to see the most in the game are the Spider and the Phoenix

+Nomad Colossus My biggest hope is to see this masterpiece rebuilt by Team ICO and Japan Studio after The Last Guardian comes out. New engine, new physics, new models, new everything, with all these uncut colossi and a kickass graphics (even if original graphics are gorgeous imho), and maybe a little bit more backstory (but i'm not so sure about this, I LOVE the mysterious feeling of this masterpiece).

i dont understand why they aren't making the sequeal of shadow of collosus my chilhood memories are attached with it even today also this game will get that much love like it use to get before ,this game was one of its own kind ever made,no other game can take it place...i am still waiting for it sequeal ...and if get realeased then i will be the first to purchase it at any cost

+SIDDHARTH GANGELE I'd say that the sequel of Shadow Of The Colossus is ICO, i mean if you look at it, makes sense how Wander is the first child with horns

And here's the new evidence since most of these are outdated Phoenix - I4 Griffin - Nowhere Monkey - Nowhere Spider - F2 in "alpha" maybe D3 in "beta" Roc - D6 (Barba replaced Roc after its removal) Sirius - E8 Worm - G1 (Argus replaced Worm after its removal like Roc) Devil - D2 Yamori A - B3 ( where we thought Roc lived) Buddha - I7 (speculative) These final two were most likely not included because they were so obscure Datamined colossi will forever be unknown but they were probably just concepts

Keep in mind, this was ambitious when it came out; even now it is difficult for developers to replicate this. That said, I wish Barba and Argus were replaced by the monkey, the Phoenix, or even the spider. Those guys were just different renditions of the 1st colossus.

@@christopherhook2141 Cenobia is the biggest disappointment. It's more a fight with towers than a colossi, and its model may as well be a straight up copy of Celosia

Ok. My theory is they killed the original 8, but unfortunately, they decided to go after one of the following Colossi. Pelagia, Malus, Gaius, Celocia or Cenobia, Dirge, or Barba. Pelagia death: Electrocuted. Either that or crushed. Malus: Shot dead. Fell. Gaius: Crushed. Celocia: Crushed. rammed to death. Cenobia: Mauled. Dirge: Eaten. Barba: Fell. Crushed.

that can't be considering you have to kill the 1st colossus first. Also,why is he there? he should have a wish like wander did.

+Morlun91 Big thank you to both Nomad and yourself. If I have your attention I have a question that may or may not have been answered long ago. Having been extremely interested in the game since I first played it years ago I've tried to follow the secret seekers and have done a lot of reading and watching what you guys have given, as well as my own exploring (though, not nearly the level you guys go with comparisons of textures and hacking the game). Anyway, the really big thing I want to know is has anyone ever confirmed that any of the beta colossi or anything of early builds have been kept or are lost? I know that someone talked to Ueda and he seemed put off by the idea that people were hacking the games to see textures and the like, so maybe he wouldn't even want to say. I just want to hope that somewhere one of the developers or Ueda himself has some (if not all) of the early stuff they worked on saved somewhere. I would think at least one of them would look at all the time they put into making this beautiful game and saved what they worked on. My fond hope, dare I say dream, is that someday it will all be released to the fans who are apparently still so thirsty for more about the masterpiece of a game. So anyway, any confirmation of there being old assets or lack thereof that you know?

+ParappatheRapper You mean something saved not in the released game but in their own databases? There has never been a word on that, but it's not to be excluded. We don't know what's their politic on backup and archiviation of data so we don't know if these materials still exist or they have been erased in these years. Anyway it's safe to assume nothing of that stuff is complete and probably much of that is not even playable. It would be a great discovery but I can't picture them releasing it for any reason... That's how they are these japanese developers.

IglaCovers Yep 10 years in fact (2005 - 2015)! It's actually the 10 year anniversary of SotC, so I'm glad I can still present something new at this late stage. Although I think this is as far as we can go as to where the discarded colossi lived, unless we get some new information (like from a developer or something) this is as close as we can get to the truth right now. I don't see this video being updated until I have definitive proof that what I have revealed here is wrong!

Nomad Colossus Yep, info from a developer would be the final step in solving the whole "mystery" around their game (or gameS perhaps?). Anyway - it's still VERY impressive for a "small, grey gamer" like me, who totally fell in love in this game. Even if I'm not seeking any stuff on my own - I'm only complaining on what I see on all your videos. Nomad Colossus hey nomad I had a thought what if the colossus was the god, demon, thing that takes over wander and was the supposed secret ending that was taken out or removed where wander and the devil fight to the death

IMO that kind of ending would have been too much "casual". Anything about this game, about it's plot AND especially - the ending - is one of a kind. Battles between good and bad are just too common, while the big disappointment and failure of the main character (spoiler alert - well, the girl woke up but... you know what was the pirce) is really rare. That's what makes this game so special. It's just totally different and leaves the player... empty. It was like this in my case.

it's moreso the AI that's the problem. It'd be quite tough to not only replicate the art style, but the animation style and the AI thinking.

Unfortunely 48 was only a number. 48 planned but not designed, or even thought about. 24 were only designed and planned. Shame, I just bought the game and only fought the first 5 bosses but these look so unique. Devil looks cool as all hell, spider looks so creepy and alien like, not to mention it looks like a house with legs on it! It looks like something out of castlevania lords of shadows or what ever! and just the thought of worm is terrifying! A colossus so big it was too big for the already giant map? Damn, gives me goosebumps. And its design is scary too! So simple yet so horrifying, no eyes, just a giant mouth you have to get into to destory it.

Man, some of them i feel like would be very easy to fix. Like the devil and phoenix, just reducing the damage would be better than scraping it entirely

@@oaksynia7353 Note that these aren’t the only reasons. Most of not all were cut due to other things like time constraints, ps2 limitations, biases, and other things

And ONE of the reasons why worm was cut was because it’s movements being too flexible and un shadow of the colossus like

And yes, the whole idea of Wander fighting two colossus, one after the other is complete rubbish! This was posted on the Team Ico wiki as fan fiction, but somehow it has evolved into a myth that fans believe is true, much like the 17th colossus or an alternate ending. But I can tell you that there is no truth in it.

Nomad Colossus Nah, I deleted all of my old stuff. I was really young then so my grammar was terrible. In those days though I practically lived Shadow of the Colossus. It's still my favorite game. I remember searching every corner of the world in those days just trying to find something new. I never found anything of course, but it was the most fun I've had exploring a game. I'm still exploring after all this time even though I know you and Pikol have practically pulled this game apart and examined every little detail. When Pikol found the Dam I was freaking out thinking a removed colossi model might still exist around there. Sad there wasn't one. And yes, I remember reading that on the Team Ico wiki many years ago. I actually thought it was fact then, but one of your videos made me think otherwise.

Nomad Colossus I was guessing the Monkey at first but really happy the area for the devil (used to call him the bat), has finally been found. I used to think he was around colossi 14's area, that little observatory place near there with the pillars reminded me of him. It looks like a small arena. I think you did a video of it a very long time ago, might be wrong though. I'm actually happy so much didn't make it into the game. Something about it gives the game this unique feeling, this sense of exploration no other game has given me. Those colossus have so much mystery surrounding them, it wouldn't be the same if they were in the game.

Everyone else (including me) always talk about how they wish the game was completed! I have always dreamed of a full '24 colossi' version of the game, but I really get where you are coming from. Would there be as much mystery and speculation if all the colossi were included? Pikol wouldn't have found the Dam, the beta mountains and all the other left over content which I (and others) have spent 6 years exploring. It would just be like any other game where there is no need to look for secret content. Sure, the nature of the game would entice players to look for more secrets, but all those 'leftover' lands wouldn't have been there and as such, the game wouldn't be as mysterious as it is today - so thanks for your perspective, I had never considered this 'alternate reality' before ; )

I love your videos. All the suggestions and speculations. This game for me has a great impact on me. The mood on this game is haunting, in a good way. The need to survive and at same time to revive Wander's girl. Hunt down the colossis, seeing all the previous life gone and ruins left behind. Great job bro.

I was thinking maybe if you got enough donations to pay them would they be willing to make the other 8 at least might work, sadly they might only take payment in yen not other currencies or maybe I heard there's one country where one American dollar is the equivalent of over 100$ to that country

+hannah weaver There are 2. Phalanx flies, and is arguably one of the most epic fights. I think two flying colossi is a fair amount - I wish they'd done more with the underground ones (like the worm) or underwater ones.
