After the warmth and sunshine of Mexico, we make it to New York City!
Staying with Outsite Brooklyn for 6 nights, I accompany Denise on her first trip to the Big Apple where we'll check out all the major attractions and of course, get some work done as well ;)

Hey Chris, nice video!! You should try coming up to Montréal, pretty cheap by Greyhound. Also, accommodation is cheaper too. If youre coming to MTL, I could make you a quick list of things to do cause I live there!

U.S is quite expansive, single tiny burger costs 20 bucks. In Serbia you could buy meal for 4 persons.

Mike Linux it is really expensive and the minimum wage is $9. Good luck feeding your family on that.

You can find great burgers and fries for much less than $20. Where Chris went was just a tourist trap..

I picked up a portable wifi device from a possible sponsor but I probably won't feature the product on this channel as I haven't been too impressed by the experience with it so far.

It has to be. I'm from Connecticut. Travelled to NYC a million times maybe even more. Never paid that much for a burger especially at a dam diner! But I guess if you don't know you will fork it up.

Chris: super vlog. Really enjoyed it. illustrates how expensive NYC can be for a visitors. I imagine it is worse for someone who has difficulty with the English language. I have never paid anything close to those prices in NYC for a burger. It is obvious that NYC is not for the digital nomad (best to make a short visit and move on). Same applies in Las Vegas. Visitors easily pay $35 for a buffet in Las Vegas, but I pay $4 simply by walking a few blocks off the strip.

I do. I sent my response to you via your "business or collaborative enquiries only" contact form Did not wish to clog up this section reserved for comments. I assume you already booked a place to stay, so I mostly restricted my response to dining suggestions. Thanx

Chris: I see your NYC location at Outsite Brooklyn, 150 Waterbury St, Brooklyn, NY 11206. Great Location and reasonable price for expensive NYC. I see you used the subway, which is what natives use primarily to get around (good choice for transportation). Brooklyn Diner at 212 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019 - total tourist trap. There are eating places nearby which offer much better value. You can pay $200 a week or $2,000 a week - for accommodations in Las Vegas (and the latter is not ten times better). I will be curious to learn about your experience in Las Vegas. Question: Would you consider accepting suggestions [re hotels, cowork, restaurants, etc.] (from subscribers) for locations you will be visiting in the future?
@ConquerJS
@ConquerJS 6 жыл бұрын
It's a shame because while housing will always be expensive in NYC for a traveler, it's possible to eat extremely cheaply, get around cheaply too.
