Lieutenant Xylar was fun to model but a pain to rig! Good thing about a standardized uniform is that it saves a lot of time detailing the model since there's no need to texture what is under the uniform. So in order to create a new officer, all I need is a basic body shape, a detailed character bust and hands. Since the character is non-humanoid, I actually have to design a chair for them to sit in.
