Psy jokes that he bamboozled Suga into doing all of this. At first Suga just wanted to give him the song and duck out, but then Psy wanted to work with him closely on it, and then he told Suga that since he was producing it, he should also feature, and then he told Suga that since he was featuring he ought to be in the music video, and then he told Suga that since he was in the music video he needed to learn the choreo....reeling him in bit by bit, lol

What people in the West don't understand is how HUGE Psy is in SK. He is a legend in SK. He hasn't done much music because he owns and has been running his own music agency called P Nation. BTS have always given Psy his credit for showing that you can take a chance in the Western music market, while Psy has said BTS opened the way for Kpop to be looked at and listened to.

I was in Korea when this was released. I was on the subway and one thing you don’t do on the subway is talk/be loud, so imagine the restraint I had to endure while watching this video. Suga is my bias and being a foreigner I really had to contain myself 😂

PSY’s concert where Suga showed up as a surprise guest during this song is called “Summer Swag.” The crowd went crazy when Suga came out. There’s also a BangtanBomb episode of Suga rehearsing with PSY and his dancers and then showing up at the concert. PSY also showed up at Suga’s recent solo concert, D-Day, in Seoul for one of the performances. They’re good friends.

Suga was originally just supposed to produce it. Then it turned into a feature and the next thing he knows he's dancing in the MV 😂. Let me tell you, Jungkook had a field day when this came out. He was doing the dance all the time 😆

It was a surprise how much that Suga was singing and in the video! Delightful to see him land on the ground in the middle. The live is really something, as others have said, the energy was INSANE!

I truly loved watching you go beyond mere reacting n commenting to actually enjoying n how your body just moves to the music. 2. Apart from this having psy, it was made better with our Suga in it. As we ARMYs say, the most active we have seen "our Cat". 3. It truly embodied how one can jump in with both feet to embrace the opening after pandemic n quarantines et al. 4. Suga sent this song to psy as a producer but ended up 1st with writing, bit of production n finally in the video. 5. Along with all of us JK Loved loved this.

Suga wrote and produced this, but didn't want to appear in the video,, but got talked into it. He said they laughed the entire time. You can see it in the bar scene and sitting on the car. 😅 Such a fun song to dance to and sing along with. Especially the words "pandemic's over, huh"...so meaningful. There's a "Behind the Scenes" of this song. A video of rehearsing and filming ..so much fun.😅

This song in the summer of 2022 was on repeat. There are so many colabs in Kpop I love.

Psy continued to be huge in Korea after Gangnam Style. He said in 2012 that he would come back in 10 years and here he was, true to his word. Suga wrote this and gave it to Psy. Psy, very subtley, brought him in to produce it, then feature, then learn the choreography and be in the video. They are absolutely adirable together. There are 2 behind the scenes worth watching, one on Psy's channel and the other on BangtanTV. A definite not-to-be-missed experience is the clip of Psy's concert where Suga made a surprise appearance for the song. The crowd goes wild 💜 I loved this song as soon as I heard it, and the video makes me giggle so much. Suga's love if dancing seemed to re-surface after his shoulder surgery, and it was a joy to watch.

Psy is a legend in Korea. He does massive concerts and to dance like that at age 44 is crazy (he's now 46).He also runs a label /entertainment company called PNation. You might want to see SUGA as an actor but I don't remember him ever expressiing an interest in it.

Suga wrote this together with his friend El Capitxn who he frequently collabs with. Then produced it in consultation with PSI. That was supposed to be his total involvement but PSI kept gradually persuading him to get more involved. Suga said when he saw the choreo he killed himself laughing.

About 10 years ago, my husband and I attended YG Family Concert in Singapore and Psy was one of the performers. He was incredibly entertaining: high energy, very funny (be aware, he speaks English quite well), everyone standing and singing along. It was excellent.

Love this song & it instantly puts a smile on my face 😁The comeback wasn't just from the pandemic - Psy hadn't made any music for 5 yrs, having concentrated on founding & running his PNation Company. Yoongi sent him the track thinking it'd be a good fit for him (lots of other commenters have said how Psy inveigled him into being in the vid lol 😄) and it fired Psy up so much to write new music himself, he went on to release a whole new album! I love the tongue-in-cheek tone right from the off & esp the funny interactions between them 😄. Like everyone says, the live concert version is brilliant - the roar from the crowd when Yoongs comes out at his part & their singing along is bonkers ☺. As others have asked, please do a reaction to Yoongi's Snooze with Woosung of The Rose & Ryuichi Sakamoto (sung as a mentoring song to younger groups, offering them the support & advice from an older idol that just wasn't there for BTS when they started) & also his song First Love, about his relationship with the family piano that started his love of music - he said he cried while recording it & there's an emotional live performance from their Wings Tour, where the actual piano is sitting on the stage 🥺. Yoongi is the host of his own talk show, Suchwita, that you might want to react to. Especially when he interviews other BTS members. Episode 15 with JK is iconic, because Yoongi provided JK with a karaoke machine and JK sang this song. There's also a separate video that's nothing but JK singing karaoke. Both are a lot of fun to watch.

I don't know why Psy chose the Old West theme either, but it made me think of BTS's Permission to Dance mv. Small dusty Western town. Cloudless blue sky on a sunny day. Fancy rodeo parade wardrobe. SUGA's outfit here looks western, but details make it exotic: leopard print silk shirt, enameled brooches, music note appliques on the pants, earrings, finger rings, other jewelry, and a hat fit for a riverboat gambler! I love the eagle screaming as SUGA makes his entrance. The whole mv definitely made me giddy and happy as you said, starting from that moment PSY steps out of the saloon to bask in the sunlight. 😊

They're usually loaded, like if they get more than a half second of whole face time in his mvs odds are they're well known in SK. PSY is a giant still in Korean music. It’s hard to explain how popular he was and still is. His concerts last up to five hours. His fans never take their phones out. Instead they hold one hand in the air and jump for the entire show. It’s epic. He is very much known for his choreography. It’s unique for turning everyday activities into dance moves, like musical theater, but more bombastic and humorous. This is a collab for the ages.

Love this mv. This mv was my introduction in to BTS. I listened to some kpop but was blown away by Suga. Not what I was expecting and down the rabbit hole I went. I even resisted a little. I am a 60 yr old Army and had never really been into music that much, especially not rap and BTS changed all that for me. I am OT7 but if I had to pick one, a bias it would be Suga. This is still one of my top mv's, absolutely love. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Suggestions: More and Arson from J Hope. Snooze by Suga feat Woosung ( The Rose) then The Rose: ILYSB: Sorry; Back to Me. It’s worth looking up PSY’s history which is a little bit unusual should I say? He’s quite a character, after all, PSY is short for Psycho. This is the ultimate feel good song. You can’t help but join in as SUGA found out. He offered a song to PSY which he didn’t think suited him but when he sent him That That he jumped on it first getting SUGA to produce it then sing and dance in it. SUGA actually enjoys dancing now and obviously loved performing this. You can see behind the scenes videos from PSY’s POV and from SUGA’s POV.

Fellow brit army here 💜 If you like playfull suga you should look for anything to do with SOPE (suga and j-hope BTS) youd think suga is withdrawn/quite but give him his J-hope and hes loud and proud.

Fun fact, directors have sent scripts to Yoongi but he's turned them down previously 😅😅
