@@backhurts11 It has nothing to do with race. It's status and importance of the player. Irvin was one of the most important pieces to that offense and if he were 2nd string with subpar stats, he would have been let go immediately no matter the race. Troy Aikman could have gotten away with it because he was another player that helped them win. Since Irvin helped the Cowboys achieve a lot of success, Jerry Jones had to save his ass to keep the offense going strong. If that incident happened in today's league, he would have been let go because the outcry of cancel culture would be too much for the Cowboys to handle. Things were different back then and history has shown that if you are someone high profile and of importance, your ass will get saved someway, somehow.

In recent interviews, AB seems super respectful, almost remorseful towards Big Ben. Seems like after he left the Steelers and was never treated with the same WR1 respect, he looked back on the good old days at the Steelers where he was the undisputed number 1 weapon for the QB. @@PapaEli-pz8ff there’s a flip side to this McNabb / TO beef. In the super bowl they played in, TO played injured and was great; his talent kept them in the game. He got a LOT wrong about this feud 😂 In fact, he got more wrong than he got right. 1.) Yes, the “shut tf up” story IS what started the feud. But it definitely wasn’t caused by T.O. not getting enough targets… It was about a single play that was installed specifically for T.O. against a certain look. The play worked perfectly and he was WIDE open but McNabb checked it down for some whatever reason. So I’m the huddle, TO was communicating w/ 5 letting him know that the play went as planned. He wasn’t angry, upset, or demonstrative in any way. AND it was actually other guys in that huddle who asked him why he didn’t throw the ball like he did all week. But 5 chose to lash out at TO instead of the guys who actually DID show frustration.
@blacksuburban2410
@blacksuburban2410 Жыл бұрын
@@donnelladams8362next: 2.) He said that the quote regarding McNabb throwing up in the Super Bowl came from Owens AND that Owens volunteered the quote. Not true. It was actually a quote from an Eagles O lineman Hank Fraley who said it to media in Florida right after the game. So a few months later, TO (like the other players) had a press conference about the upcoming season. But naturally, the media was focused on the contract situation and the speculations about friction with McNabb. AND, TO didn’t ever bring up the Super Bowl vomiting situation… A reporter who knew about the Fraley quote asked TO about the quote. And even worse, TO actually said that he didn’t personally see it and didn’t know whether or not really happened. 3.) Same thing with the Favre comment. T.O. wasn’t the source of the comment AND he didn’t bring it up in the interview. The quote about Favre and McNabb came from Michael Irvin during a broadcast discussion about the Eagles record. And during TO’s interview, Graham Bensinger (the host) TOLD T.O. what Michael Irvin said about Favre and how the Eagles record would be better with Favre. Then Graham asked TO if he agreed with Irvin… to which TO said he agreed. BUT the sports outlets only played the part where TO said he agreed then stopped without showing his explanation… in which he said that McNabb was dealing with injuries all season. And if McNabb wasn’t hurt, everyone would’ve been watching the Eagles do what they did the prior year.

Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens were teammates with Philadelphia Eagles. I heard McNabb didn’t like T.O. because they embrace him for coming to Philly. I heard they still don’t like each other, so McNabb will never ever be friends with T.O. ever. I hope one day they will make peace and forgive each other. Ben Roethilsberger and Antonio Brown were teammates with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown had his best career with 136 receptions for 1,834 receiving yards in 2015 and 129 receptions for 1,698 receiving yards in 2014. Ben Roethilsberger spent his entire 18 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and they retired his number. Although, their problems started when Antonio Brown became too much of a distraction for the team and it gotten worse after he was traded to formerly known as the Oakland Raiders before being released. Also, he signed with the New England Patriots to play for Tom Brady and only played a game before Coach Belichick released him in 2019. After that, he reunited with Tom Brady with Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he spent the final two seasons there. Antonio Brown returned home to Florida to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and where is he at now a free agent for now.

Because of his personality. I'll watch a segment with him on TV because he's interesting and entertaining. But yeah, he should be in prison, without question.

Two comments on the Irvin incident that very nearly ended in murder. 1) It must no longer be required that players get haircuts because dozens of them have hairdos so damned wild that it covers their names. Several years ago the Bengals had a defensive tackle whose red hair was wild and long that it covered part of his number. 2) The reason Irvin didn't get sent to prison is because "IT PAYS TO BE A FOOTBALL HERO". Celebrities almost always get away with crimes, even murder.

These may be some of the more famous ones, but I bet there’s AT LEAST a pair of teammates on every team who absolutely hate each other that the public never hears about. You got a bunch of rich, talented, wealthy and healthy grown men, most of whom probably would score pretty high on the narcissistic personality disorder spectrum, spending hours every day together 😂😂 I’d love to hear some stories that ain’t so public. Lol the one beef that got started cause the one guy heard that a teammate thought he was “jealous” 😂😂

Honestly, I bet you could make a video of this that would be hours long if we could watch what goes on off the field. I'm sure most are mature and aware enough to save it for the locker room/practice facility instead of doing it on field for everyone to see.

Good video but some mis guided information. Johnathan Martin was traded to the 49ers after the bully scandal. He didn't "never play again" after that incident. So i must question all end results of this video and verify to the best of my own knowledge

I honestly don't think he was cut out for the NFL culture. I saw video clips where other NFL players frowned upon his way of handling the situation. "Man, you're 300 pounds and you let that guy dog you". Mike Ditka called Martin a baby.
