Nonunion Fusion Neck Mobility January 8, 2018

One month after a revision fusion of C3-T3 I noticed slight mobility in my neck despite being immobilized 24/7. Unfortunately mobility has increased. Next step is xrays of my entire spine. I'm already hard fused skull-L2 so I shouldnt have any mobility throughout that area. I saw my pain management doctor January 2nd and he could feel mobility, and some slight sliding where my neck & thoracic spine meet...not good. Time will tell with what happens. If anyone has had experience with this please let me know.

I hope they'll be able to figure out why your spine is still moving and correct it soon without another major surgery and painful recovery. Hang in there Megan, and I pray that 2018 will get better for you!!

I found your channel after watching your halo removal, you are so brave and strong.I'm so sorry that you have to go through all this, life can be so unfair ! I can kinda relate but only with having a spinal fusion T1-L1'but that was for kyphosis, I hope your doing better ❤️

T1-L1 is still a really big fusion. No comparing allowed. How are you feeling?

I recently started watching your videos. What happened to your neck and back? Was it an accident sorry I’m confused.

I have a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). It causes the body to produce faulty collagen, which is like the glue that holds your body together. It can cause joint dislocations/subluxations, muscle/tendon/ligament tears, problems inside the body and a lot of other issues. My spine became severely effected and dangerously unstable. It moved in ways it shouldn't have so I was fused from my skull-L3 about 6 weeks ago. Hope that helps answer your question.

I'm definitely stronger. I've been in physical therapy and we've been able to increase on the exercises. Unfortunately there will be another spine surgery within the next few months. There is an issue with the hardware. The rods are bending forward which is causing the mobility & some other symptoms I have. Even though there's still issue I am in better shape now than I have been in the past few years.
