I've had a lot of shoulder and shoulder blade surgery. Between those 4 joints I've had 22. This was the first time my family has never been able to get my hair washed so we went to a hair salon...best idea ever. It was much easier on my body to recline back on propped pillows. We tried at home and that left me in tears trying to lay flat. On Dec. 8th and Dec 14th 2016 I had surgery. On the 8th I had my R my scapula (shoulder blade) stabilized with an allograft tendon to my spine, an allograft tendon put in to fix my rhomboid muscle which was completely detached, several muscles reattached to both my R scapula and spine that were torn, & both scapula tied together. On the 14th I had 3 pins inserted into my L joint because it kept popping out of joint. This is a temporary fix; like a band-aid. The neck brace you see me in is from having my halo removed after skull-T2 fusion due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome; a connective tissue disorder.
