You're so kind. Thank you. I'm so sorry you've been living a catastrophic medical journey. It's SO hard & sadly, becomes a new normal. Just yesterday I was talking with my mom about how do I know if it's symptoms I should be getting checked out if I've been living with it for so long. It can be very hard to determine what's "normal" & what's something new that I don't realize. Would love to connect. My email is [email protected] Praying that your symptoms will improve & that you're having a good day. Many blessings & gentle hugs 🌷🫂🌷

Привет Мэган. Я тебя очень понимаю и от всей души желаю стать здоровой как можно скорее. (I'm not sure if I understood everything correctly.) I can assume that your problems with the shoulder blade could be the result of incorrect use of crutches. There are some basic laws of applying loads to our body. The main loads should fall on the muscles (after the bones). If you use crutches, then you should put the main load on the latissimus dorsi and pectoral muscles (something like that). If you do not tense these muscles enough, then your load will be distributed incorrectly to other parts of your body and lead to injury. Also, when you begin to constantly use crutches, then you need to definitely do gymnastics on your shoulder girdle and strengthen it with exercises to prevent injury from a sharply increased new type of load. Do you do reasonable gymnastics on all your main body parts related to your movement (legs, knees, shoulders, back, etc.) during this period?
@user-sv4ou5bz7m
@user-sv4ou5bz7m 11 ай бұрын
You need gymnastics to restore and strengthen your natural muscle corset, which should support your spine and neck, as well as all your key joints. If the muscles are weakened from inactivity and do not function properly, then the bones and joints will fall apart.

I've been screwed back together, shattered pelvis lower spine. I was told I would never walk again, and even if I did walk, it wouldn't be for very long. It's been 10 years now, and I'm still walking. I've lost everything I've worked for. Life really sucks getting any treatment for pain is like I'm asking the doctor for heroin. I never gained any weight when people normally do gain weight, but I don't have enough money to gain weight! If these doctors had any compassion at all, they would have let me die. Doctors, nurses, and the whole medical system puts the bare minimum effort in. Meanwhile, if you're a alcoholic or drug addict the world is laid out at your feet, medical attention, and jobs. If you have an accident, if it's your fault or someone else's fault and you're screwed! I knew that night my life as I knew it was over whether I recovered or not. I'm really sick of the pain! I wish the DEA could be kicked out of the doctors office! I don't need pain medication every day just once in a while. Hurting physically inside makes life and socializing extremely difficult.
@MeganKing19

I'm so sorry. I can read the pain in your comment. I sympathize with you. Finding a doctor to help assist with managing pain can be like pulling teeth. Physical pain is brutal. Anybody that has been screwed back together is going to experience pain. There's such a stigma on using pain medication because of people who've abused it. That has greatly impacted those who truly require it. What some healthcare providers don't realize is that medication is what allows us the ability to go & live our lives to the best of our ability. If it were me I would try to find a new pain management doctor. It took time for me to find one who truly understood what I was dealing with. I'm thankful for him daily. You're worthy & important. You have a purpose in this world. I hope you know you're worthy & by sharing some of your story you've not only helped me, but you may help others feel less alone. Thank you for your vulnerability. Everybody in this world struggles. Those who haven't just haven't hit that phase in life yet. My struggles don't minimize anything that you've endured & vice versa. The pain I experience doesn't minimize or takeaway any of the pain you feel. The beautiful thing that comes out of struggling is where we get to meet in the middle. For example, pain. You know what it's like to live with pain. 6 spine surgeries is anything but easy. I know pain from my experiences. By opening up a bit we know that we're not alone. There are other people in this world who can sympathize with us, in their own way, what we go through. We aren't alone. I struggle with anxiety & mental mind games. The thing that really gets my goat is, there are times in life where it's NORMAL to be somewhat depressed. When you are a teenager and have had 5 surgeries in a year, have had to give up all the activities you love and had to battle every moment just to get basic treatment for injuries, who wouldn't be at least a little depressed?? Believe yourself, believe your body.
@MeganKing19
@MeganKing19 Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, true. We have highs in life, lows in life & a rollercoaster combo. My frustration was/is it wasn't depression that was causing the pain that I was trying to explain. Unfortunately, healtcare professionals can be quick to label an injury or other physical ailment as depression. It's one of the main reasons I try to emphasize being your own patient advocate, believe yourself & belief your body 👊
@kallisti667

@@MeganKing19 Could not agree more - physical health issues can lead to mental health issues, but the tendency for healthcare professionals to jump to this outlandish idea that depression could cause (for example) pain on the level that you have had is something that needs to be strongly addressed in the training process. Yes, people can benefit from therapy when it comes to developing coping strategies when dealing with chronic severe pain, but treating people as if their pain is 'in their head' is almost as damaging as the conditions themselves in many ways.

I have a genetic condition Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome hypermobility type. In this video my issues were from craniocervical instability. Instability of the skull, C1 & my C2. My head positioning in the halo was adjusted prior to video being recorded. I also had occult tethered cord. Spinal cord is supposed to hang freely at the bottom & instead was connected to tissue of some sort causing too much tension on the spinal cord. It didn't show on imaging. I hope somebody is able to help your sister & get her feeling better!

I really wish that your experience was rare, but those of us with complex or multiple medical problems have to deal with gaslighting all the time. And as a Chronic Pain Patient with end-stage CRPS as well as being a below knee amputee due to the condition burning off my foot & lower leg, I still get the “med seeking” judgement. Undergoing 14 major surgeries over the last 5 years (several due to medical error) has been agonizing and frustrating. Desperate for independence, when I tried to use the bathroom instead of my bedside commode last month, I ended up on the floor screaming. I had broken my hip and femur. Adding insult to literal injury, they accidentally tested my TSH while I was in the ER, and further testing revealed that I had Graves’ Disease that would’ve killed me by the end of summer had this not been caught. I appreciate you sharing your story and experiences ❤️ When life keeps throwing you off a proverbial cliff, it’s hard to keep fighting, and I feel like I’m reaching the end of my rope
