I mean, most kids start as Nurgle worshippers. By 7 they move to Khorne (at least if they have siblings), by 14-15 they shift to Slaanesh. After the exams they can branch out to Tzeench or roll back to Nurgle.

Honestly, Festus is so sneaky in lore that someone who didn't know he was a Nurgle follower could be forgiven for expecting him to say "Just as planned" after a meeting of the inner circle of his association.

Chaos gods dont really do risks. They mostly act on near certain results, gently nudging targets in the right direction until they strike, so by the time they're desperate, broken, or stupid enough to accept a gift, their minds, if not already, would be shattered by the strain, and even if it didn't work, the passive effects of a gift of chaos would corrupt the individual until they gave in. Only the most resolute, or in Orc cases stupid, people can resist this, and generally even that doesnt always work

at that point, i think he was already pretty old.. At most, he would be somewhat annoying for 10-20 more years before dying.. + I'm pretty sure Nurgle doesn't mind people curing diseases, because it lets him research better ones that are resistant to the cure...

If Festus cured his diseases then Nurgle would just make new ones and humanity would be stronger and Nurgle's power would grow. Nurgle is also a win win guy but unlike Tzeentch he's more about long term growth.

@@alexcote9243 It's... hmm... I find it hard to know what to make of. You spend a ton of money on buildings, but no upgrade costs. Units just... sort of show up in your recruiting pool at some future point. The amount of money generated fluctuates constantly. I like the weirdness of it, but it's awkward as heck.

@@alexcote9243 In Mortal Empires Ku'Gath starts right next to Ghorst, who is immune to poison and plagues. The regen his forces have also makes him counter slower, drawn out fights, and the corpse carts and Mortis engines essentially require single entity removal, which Nurgle is the worst at in the game. It physically hurts, and is arguably the hardest start in the game.

That intro reminded me of how much I hate that they turned every single Nurgle dude into a big fat guy. There are 5 stages of decomp to work with, so we really have to use stage 2 for absolutely everything?

I've had 2 doctors apologize to me in my 40yrs and 70 surgeries, one for damaging the S2-S3 nerve pathways in my spine and the other for almost killing me when I had a nasty stomach bleed.

Nurgel's favorite song, "Down With The Sickness". The only time he allows Noise Marines show up in his realm to play. Even let them leave without getting sick. And I know "Noise Marines" are 40K. But, being how the Chaos Gods are in both Fantasy and 40K. Who is to say Nurgle doesn't have those boys playing his Boss Theme as he enters the Battlefield? Not only those pants drop (not in a good way), but the heads pop with the body drops.
