these keybeds have 2 contacts which connect at a high and low point when you strike a key. this is how it gets velocity - it measures the time between the upper and lower so that it's "louder" the harder (quicker) you push the key down. the synth is probably set up to trigger at the bottom contact and won't sound at the upper (unless you have the . I don't have a stage, so I'm not sure (I have electro 6 and a wave 2.) try this - turn on the organ section. go in the menu and change the setting from "B3 org key trigger point" from low to high and play an organ sound. if those same keys only play on the "low" setting but not on the high, you might have an issue. also, on a piano sound or sample sound, if you have velocity sensitivity on those keys, then they're working like they're suppose to. you might just be imagining that there's an issue because the synth doesn't sound at the upper travel if the "velocity" button isn't activated. hope this helps.

thanks connor for taking the time to comment. the problem for me only occurs on these 3 keys , the rest of the keybed works fine . also i tested the synth section in this is video to display the problem with the velocity setting on . the problem in B A G keys persisted regardless of the engine ( synth or piano), though i diddnt test the organ section because as you said this only detects the top sensor. i suspect the aftertouch strip was to high in this region . this was because when playing with low velocity in the problem range the key would bottom out ( before the aftertouch strip) yet not make a sound. this did not occur in the rest of the keybed. this type of inconsistency is not normal for a keybed . im sure i could have diagnosed this with more detail ( i do lots of work on synthesizers) if i opened it up , but this was a new instrument with a warranty and thats not what i paid for. take care
