actually GOW norse mythology is not as accurate as here, except look of some gods, tyr looks better in GOW but other things are written, interpreted worse in GOW

Great to see Ubisoft stickt to the myths. I realy enjoyed this game, one of my favorite Assassin's Creed games. Also also i have the logo on my phone screens since this game came out.

AC Valhalla is quite accurate contrary to popular belief I played it and it's a great game. the only complain I have is that I would have liked more accurate armors. the music is great too and they used a norwegian singer. the song he sings at the end of the game I think is in old norse and it's beautiful.

I already knew this game was quite accurate not only in the mythology but also in showing some norse customs of the period of the conquest of what is now England because they had an expert on the matter as a consultant and because I have a little knowledge about those myself. what is wrong here is that nobody explained to her that in those scenes the person indicated as Havi is Odin even if he doesn't look like Odin because in the game Eivor (the protagonist) is essentially the reincarnation of Odin and he has visions of his past life as Odin even he continues to look like himself.

game isn't really accurate in therms of history tho. The clothings are all wrong, the climate in Norway is all wrong etc etc

@@MarkFilipAnthony some clothes are the armors are the worst and yes in Norway is not always snowy but I think they wanted to stress the difference from England and why they went south (there is a conversation at one point where Eivor praises the beauty of his country and his anglo-saxon friend says something like if it was so beautiful why you left and he replies something like you can't grow crops because it's beautiful). the names of the reigns of the rivers and town are accurate and they are different from modern names there are some historical characters too even if the events are obviously altered by the presence of a fictional character (the protagonist) but the historical accuracy is enough to make gamers interested in that period and start studying it which I think is a merit and let's not forget it's a game not a documentary you can't pretend complete accuracy and I think it would be unfair to criticize since other games and even movies and tv series do worse.

I think she’ll find it’s MUCH better than God of War. Valhalla weaves the Norse myths into its own Isu storyline seamlessly and with the skills of the Nornir themselves.

@@assassinscreedislife7636well, he was the antagonist in a god of war game where the objective is for kratos to kill gods, so he had to be evil in some way, plus its not like kratos and atreus werent fully in the wrong, ragnarok could have been fully avoided if they didnt do alot of things, even the director said there is no right side.

mhm. GOW only has good visuals of the gods. Tyr looks cool AF, same with Jormungandr plot line, it was also cool but other than that... BalduR looks like gypsy king from the movie Snatch, thor looks alright but Odin looks like a hobo. also the way they implemented Loki into the story line isnt so smart and bright how they think it is. angrbroda race swap is also eyerolling.

true I think it's because of kratos and his descendants become a center of the story, just like every earlier GOW. in Assassins creed most of the time the main character become somekind of whatif/a fictional piece of the main lore that supposed based on the actual history

The Nordic (and Germanic and other Indo-European pantheons) are all connected. Vedic is the closest one to the ancestral PIE (Pre-Vedic) pantheon and all these pantheons are the descendants of Pre-Vedic

all pagan cultures are connected bcuz they are based on living with the nature and understanding the world through the nature and our planet. im an atheist but id rather believe in a pagan culture than monotheistical ignorant religions which teach people how to hate others (islam and christianity talk about hating nonbelievers and even hurting them if they do not convert) meanwhile poetic edda (norse), greek , roman, slavic, egyptian, hindu, chinese, japanese and other mythologies on our planet teach as real values through fables, short stories, poems and even invocations

Its many types of old Norse the reason why icelandic is identical to gammel norsk is because the Icelanders fled from norway under the genocide perpetrated by Olav den hellige and the chatolics of the world, half of norway disappeared most of them went to iceland. But we had several dialects just like we do now so did sweden all of them could comunicate with each other just like today. No matter which of these ancient dialects you spoke you understood all the other ones and if you can speak any of those dialects today you can speak all dielcts of old Norse which has many similarities with old English because of the dane law.. Snorre is a good source but hard to understand if you doesn't have kjenninger og heitis in your culture,, example Norse astrology, we got Karl's vogna (a constellation) but who is Karl with the wagon? Vogn Thor /wagon Thor is Odin, because Odin is the ås with the wagon. That's how kjenninger and heitis works in both our culture faith and skaldskaperi.. So we don't believe that their is a giant cow in space because that cow is not from the ætt (race /clan /nationaliy) but because you are the expert on this you can tell me what the cow eidhumla actually is, what ætt does audhumla belong to?... Hint it's in the Edda if you can answer without searching or reading Edda again it's very good

gow ragnarok is what vikings tv series is. commercialized mainstream propaganda of norse mythology and the vikings. youd be surprised how many things they got wrong in GOW 2018 and Ragnarok except few things like Jormungandr and some visuals

To the lady who is talking about this, we all know that the Acear are powerful beings, godly beings, and they don't need huge palaces to show that off that. I like seeing it as God of War depicts it, they could very well just have normal Longhouses and Lodges. I like to see asgard like that.

I love Norse mythology so this game was definitely in my top two but Its sad that they mad ac Valhalla an assassins creed game, I really think they shouldn’t off I played the whole game and played as if I was a Viking through throughout the whole thing I know it’s a game but my favourite part of it is just sailing the waters and looking at the view from the highest mountains

Already the first scene with fenris and Tyr is wrong because it norsk folketro which Snorre based he's skald skaperi on tyrs name is TY because he tyr (verb) that means he doesn't not speak he only acts and is where the saying action speaks louder than words originally came from. There is no place in norsk folketro (umbrella term for all hedendom that exists in norway and a school subject for kids exempt from xtianity on cultural and spiritual grounds) so it had to be fenris or an ås telling him to put the hand and Ty would "ty" which means to shut up and just do the action he was told to do do.. Ok ill continue watching
