It doesn't make all that much difference until a few years before you retire. Sometimes the market goes up and the stuff you already own grows in value, sometimes goes down and your new contributions buy bigger chunk's As long as the overall trend is up, long term, vou'll be fine. Trying to time the cycles is a mugs game.

Retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My parents both spent same number of years in the civil service, but my mom was investing through a wealth manager, and my dad through the 401k.

Put in growth mutual funds for the long haul. Investing is a roller coaster ride. You only get hurt if you get off while the ride is going.

I had a situation similar to yours. I had a Roth 401K that had long met the 5 year rule. In Dec. 2019 I was preparing to retire in Jan. 2020 (over 59 1/2) and chose to transfer this Roth 401K to a Roth IRA with a well known brokerage firm. I was told by my brokerage firm that the 5 year rule would begin anew (I did not have an existing Roth IRA) so eff. 1/1/2024 I will have satisfied this 5 year rule. Additionally, I transferred a traditional 401K to same brokerage firm and have been making annual conversions to a Roth IRA but in a different account as I was advised not to comingle the two distinctly different contribution types. Good luck, another thing, my employer's plan administrator said I was the first employee to ever request a transfer of only the Roth 401K but I wanted to get it moved in 2019 prior to retiring to get the 5 year clock started. The plan administrator's company actually had to program their system to make the transaction possible which fortunately took just a few days.

The beauty of the United States is we have 50 different laboratories for states to experiment with policies and find what works best for them. I own a business in what Kevin calls a "loser state" - Massachusetts. The business has been very successful and the only impediments are the high cost of living - but that's what happens when you have 3.2 million people stuffed into a tiny area with very little open land left for development. Also last time I checked, North Datoka is 9 times bigger than Massachusetts but the Mass economy is 10x bigger than North Dakota's. In any case, back to my first line - we're all better when the states compete with each other for effective policies for growth.

Thanks! Your video calms me down everyday I watch it when the market is pumping! I'm going with your insights. It makes the most sense with where we are at in the cycle. The only thing that would make me think this cycle could be slightly different is the overall increased adoption of crypto since 2019 and all the hype with the BTC/ETH ETF speculation. Could the market stay held up this cycle by the anticipation of ETFs and the overall awareness that a bull run is coming? Kevin on point in this video. Lobbying for various small business support from government(s) especially because they create local employment. Small biz ends up training young people in crucial "soft skills" that are necessary for a functioning society. Great advice in mentioning that becoming an Entrepreneur challenges oneself to not be shy because it is the key way to survive and strive.

Sir, I came up with an invention I was wishing to present to the shows you are a part of. If by the latest happenings around product pricing etc Q? Will I be liable for valuing my invention, so as to attain investors, to high or low. I'm at a loss now. Or do I cancel my patent search now and forget about ever trying to enter the market due to these rules.

Excellent Kevin. Keep investing in winner states. I'm over 70 years old and if I wanted to work for anyone again it would be for you. I worked in the software design industry for 25 years. My talents are now no longer needed. But with saying that something that has not changed is you need software to handle accounting, purchasing, insurance, industrial, point of sale, inventory and many many more industries of the now and the future. Advanced programming languages are now being used. No matter what programming languages that are being used business still needs to provide software to handle the before mentioned business practices. My career was fantastic. Were there failures? Yes but I had so many more success stories than failures.

You and other developers should include free speech clauses in the data centers you invest in. No free speech then you can’t host in the data centers. When you control the hosting, you can make sure the rules are fair.

Kevin has admitted on live tv that he lies on his financial documents. Hey Kevin! My house is worth $1,000,000 just because I said so. I'm going to take your advice and tell the bank it is worth that much, refinance to get rid of my PMI, and take out a HELOC against all the equity I claim I have! If I get sued I will say you told me everyone does it and that you do it and blame you directly for it.
