Northern lights May 10, 2024 SE Minnesota

First time trying to film the northern lights so there was some trial and error but I think I got some decent shots. Sorry for the random bright lights, there was a racoon that visited me while in the field!

i saw some pretty good reds while i was driving to film but unfortunately by the time i got out to film i kind of faded. still fun though

crazy thing they had a better show down south than we had here. i think it got dark too late and we missed the peak

My name is also Jay😂😂 and we actually got to see the northern lights in South Carolina last night and hopefully again tonight! I never thought I would see them here. And I have a friend that said he saw them in Atlanta 🎉 I was truly amazed by them and blessed to see them here at our home.

thats awesome! seems like people in the south actually had a better show than we did. i think our peak was too early and not dark enough. hopefully we all get a great round 2!!!

@@jaybyrdsshenanigans I appreciate that! Sometimes growth on the channel is frustratingly slow but comments like yours keep me going so thanks! It was quite an event. Hard to really comprehend how bit and unusual it really was until you hear people around the world got to see it. I listened to reed timmer and he said they even saw it in North Africa and the Florida keys! Simply unbelievable!

And brother I know all about slow channel growth it’s taken me several years to top 200!!🤣🤣 and your content is way more interesting than mine trust me! You’re gonna have a lot more subs coming! I love all things canoe and kayak and I don’t have a lot of subs but I’ll give you a shoutout next video to the ones I have!🎣🐟🛶😊👍

@@jaybyrdsshenanigans I appreciate that Jay, have you ever considered rumble as a platform? It really seems like growing there has more success than starting fresh on youtube. I have a spin off channel called Jays Critter Cam on here and Rumble. The rumble one is 2 years younger than youtube and it many times more successful and you can monetize your content right away. Even my escape with jay fishing videos get more views there than here with a fraction of the viewers. Really makes you wonder how that can be? Just a thought
