You always do great work, nice to see a small build.

Thank you for sharing this helpful video. Why use a Multiplus II that's designed for split-phase (two-phase) power in a truck camper that only takes single-phase power?

The MP2 120v only would also be a good option. I believe we had availability issues as to why the MP2 2x120 was used.

What is a PMW controller..?

What size SOK batteries did you go with and was the factory solar sufficient?

JD is on assignment, but the SOKs were 206 each. Factor solar is rarely enough, and even if we can upgrade, it’s usually not enough on a truck camper. If you can ration your power enough it can work, but an inverter can eat almost 500w a day just being on.

@@sotasolar thank you for the quick reply. Thinking of 2 EG4-LL48V Batteries standing on their back‘s buy taking out that plastic bin that he put the SOK batteries in and using the EG4 3KW INVERTER on the side where he put the other components and 800 W of solar on the roof with a booster to get the proper voltage down to the controller to charge the batteries since they’re 48 V

At 48v those will work good. We don’t have a ton of experience on the EG4 platform with hybrid modes but we hear folks trying them. Let us know how it goes! If you get the 24v (40v) solar panels from Rich Solar and put them in series (2s2p) you don’t need a booster. They will charge at 60-80v.

@@sotasolar thanks for the reply somewhere I heard that I would need over 100 V from the solar panels for these batteries to start charging that’s why I thought I would need a booster. If I have three 200 W panels at 20 V wired in series that would give me 60 V you’re saying that would be sufficient. Thanks Roger

Oh , that could be. You could run all panels in series but that gives you little shade performance. You’ll want to verify the PV start voltage on the EG4.
