Hello from the UK. I'm really enjoying these How To videos. I planted crocus, iris reticulata and muscari along the garden path whilst pregnant with my first child. 16 years later they are still coming up!

I love crocus! They are the first treasures of color that wake up in our garden. But I need them in a protected place because bunnies like them too.

I love your videos! I really hope you put out another amaryllis video. I bought 2 for the first time ever because of you :)

Have been thinking of you this week as I recieved my Amaryllis bulbs and I was thinking how you introduced me to them again after not having them for years. I found the salmon amaryllis you where talking of last years and also found a deeper salmon one. I also planted a Wild Amazon Amaryllis bulb( I am sure you would love this one) and some double and single white ones. I am lucky living in Belgium as therefor its easy to buy from Dutch growers. I found a grower who stocks about 70 different Amaryllis bulbs! You would be in heaven seeing his assortment! And what a coincidence, just planted the same Elegant Lady tulips this week in my garden! So looking forward to spring. That could be very early this year . I have daffodils that are already stocking their nooses above the ground and my Petticot narcissi have already 8 inches of leaves as do my grape hyacints!

You're totally right about 'more is more ' when using the scatter method of placing bulbs (I call it the 'Jacqueline' method because I first heard about it from the wonderful Jacqueline van der Kloe). I tried it a few years ago with daffodil bulbs but didn't plant anywhere near as many as I should have (they are expensive here!) so it looked rather sparse. Using it for minor bulbs in lawns is a great idea! 🙂

Yes! That's who I learned it from also!

I wanted to thank you for repeatedly mentioning asking state garden masters questions. Because of that I saved some plants I would have given up on. 🌺

I also lasagna plant, with the bigger bulbs the deepest layer, cover, plant another minor bulb on top and so forth. Works great in pots. I am crazy enthusiastic about minor bulbs.

I love your Videos, I love the look of multi kinds of bulbs planted together. Thank you. I love your laid back small garden. I have around 25 Roses, 30 peonies, 5 Dahlias, Echinacea, Sedums, 8 Perovskia Blue jean Baby, Iris, Coral Bells, etc on about 1/3 acre.

Hey ! The flowers & plants are beautiful..... But we don't have these kind of plants in my country.....

In zone 9 Texas Gulf Coast, the bulbs are annuals for us. We get too much rain and they tend to rot and not come back.

Great timing on this helpful video. Last night I got 50% off daffodils, hyacinths, crocuses & grape hyacinths. Unfortunately it’s turned freezing cold in southern Ontario today. I will need to wait for a little warmer opportunity to get them planted.
@diannerichard2509 Жыл бұрын
Yes Ontario can certainly be chilly this time of year. Keep warm as you are planting those bulbs.

Have you ever dug up the bulbs and moved them after they're blossoms ? I wanna get more perennials next spring and I don't wanna run into the problem of digging up bulbs when planting new plants

Where do you buy your bulbs from?

I’m way too “organized” to use the “just throw it about and let them land where ever” then plant them where they land😮

I have just bought some Glory of the Snow on sale in the UK, so what happens if you plant them in April? I don't mind waiting till autumn, but I am just in patient?
