They value Tiberium for its qualities as a tool to bring about that control. The Scrin and the Forgotten represent what Nod fears most: for tiberium to wield control over them, instead of vice-versa.

It probably refers to the landing craft if it is a reference to the scrin. Or even the planetary invasion craft. The large capital ship with deployable fighters.

With how much resources GDI put into tiberium destruction. I would of liked them (especially Zocom) to take a dark turn with their attitude towards mutants. Add a little xenophobia towards them so they’re not the purely good guys. Make the story more interesting

Thematically, it would work perfectly! The Steel Talons are the "underdog" of GDI's military departments, being the "department for experimental technology" in name only. They receive incredibly little funding and the walker weapons and technology they employ are considered outdated and surpassed by GDI's idea of standarts. Meanwhile, ZOCOM is the "golden child" of GDI. Their success in employing and developing sonic technology to combat and erradicate Tiberium is deservingly received with the highest of praises. And the highest of fundings. Although not as numeral as the main military and civil garrisons of GDI, it is undeniable that ZOCOM is by far the most favored department of the organization. _And yet, there is a far more crucial, _*_more moral_*_ difference between the two._ Steel Talons were founded by McNeil, so it stands to reason that, like their leader, the soldiers serving this faction would also be taught and share on his viewpoints. This would include, among many things, the importance of crushing Nod, the importance of developing GDI's military technology... _and also giving their aid to the Forgotten._ Their once precious allies,, but who are also people, constantly suffering from Tiberium. Meanwhile, for all its high praises, ZOCOM is described as *"fanatically opposed to all Tiberium".* Their determination to rid the world of Tiberium reaching the point of raging zealotry, not unlike Nod's. *Y-You can see the problem here, right?* ZOCOM would be _on-sight_ against the Forgotten and wish to simply eradicate them once and for all, as another Tiberium plague upon the Earth. And because the majority of GDI's higher ups favor them greatly, they would most likely cover up and ignore any massacres that ZOCOM commited against the Forgotten, the media not even making a single mention of their existance. But obviously, McNeil and the Steel Talons would be enraged by such atrocities, specially since they rightly know they do not align with GDI's core principles and purposes: it's not just "eradicate Tiberium", they are the *Global Defense* Initiative. And the Forgotten are also people. So obviously, they would do their most to oppose ZOCOM and their backers. *Even if it meant fighting against them, alongside the desperate and abandoned Forgotten.* Not gonna lie, thay could make one hell of a really cool story! And one that could follow up on Kane's Wrath, because at the end of the day, this civil war inside GDI would also be of great interest to Kane and the Brotherhood of Nod. *And you know damn well he wouldn't let that chance slip by, he would try to take advantage of that situation in some way.* Which could ultimately reinforce the importance of GDI and the Forgotten just setting their differences aside, help each other and unite against the brotherhood. Or possibly even worse, *a second incursion of the Scrin.* As Kane and LEGION found out, the assurance that General Granger's team gave that the Threshold Tower is completely inactive and dormant was completely wrong: them "Ichor" addicts are coming back for blood and the little "invasion" they had dealt with was only a _(supposedly small)_ mining corporation. *Not the Scrin's actual military force.* So with that possibility imminent, the Forgotten's own knowledge and adaptability with Tiberium may yet prove to be more crucial than ever before. And since the Brotherhood of Nod will always fanatically reject the idea of cooperating with them, it falls upon GDI to reforge that alliance. *That is, unless ZOCOM and their supporters continue to have their way.*

Tiberium lifeforms in general were woefully underutilized in C&C3. The lifeforms of Tiberian Sun made the planet seem so alien, a feeling that the third game didn’t pull off.

Well there is the Forgotten mod for CnC3, which does introduce them as a fully fledged faction

to be honest the lack of a consistent 3rd faction has honestly been the biggest problem with c&c lore and gameplay.

The C&C got a good lore. I think, the Forgetten got a big potensial. They can survive in Tiberum hell and wasteland. They leaved by both sides on slow death.... When a starts fight, like a "good guys vs bad guys", many, who watch on this fight, forget about people, who live there. They not got a power or any protection. So, i just pay the respect to all mutants and Forgetten. You are a strong. You always survive, in any place, in any time. Even you got a scars of wounds, together, you can make more.... Stay strong, alive, and not alone....

Hmm I guess they're their own faction. In Kanes Wrath they were only an army that could be called upon once their hub was captured. The mutant units were only infantry and part of marked of Kane and blackhand units

@@warmotion864 Westwood intended for Tib Sun to have the Forgotten as a third Faction with a Story Campaign. EA prevented that and the fame was rushed out unfinished

The story is over. It all ended in C&C 4. If I remember correctly even tiberium magically vanished from the planet. I refuse to play the game and I know it's universally hated, but it's still the canon story.

@@ellixen I'm still hoping against hope that EA will retconn C&C4 out of canon...like us fans have. Joe might be older now but there could be canon reasons for an aged-up Kane. A proper end to the franchise could be made. It probably won't happen, but it's nice to hope ;)

I absolutely love the "The Forgotten" mod for Tiberium Wars, but I was saddened that on top of so few missions, they never had the Forgotten being a major force fighting the Scrin except the last mission. _(which still put Kane as the bigger evil)_ Specially with all the new Tiberium related structures, abilities and powers that the faction showcased in that mod. It aligns with this original concept, the Forgotten developing Tiberium-related phenomena in ways that not even the "experts", the Scrin could replicate, let alone the chaotic Nod. Also... _it just didn't made sense for the Forgotten to not have a huge crisis with the Scrin invasion._ Both GDI and Nod *were getting their asses absolutelly kicked* by the initial attacks of that mining corporation. (remember, Foreman-371's forces are not the military branch of the Scrin) So how come the Forgotten, the people who had retreated into the Red Zones, THE SAME Red Zones that were the landing target for the Scrin's Colony Ships, *weren't affected by it?* I really would've liked at least two or three more missions taking place right after Mission 3 (where Salvatore has managed to bring the Forgotten's might to full power), where the Scrin invasion begins and you have to help in evacuating Forgotten civilians, escorting transports safely away, or trying to make a stand against the Scrin whether it proved successful or not. It could've increased the weight of the last mission, whereit was just VITAL for the Forgotten to just take control of that incomplete second Threshold Tower and just gain any possibility of helping reverse this whole situation. I dunno. Like I said, I absolutely love that mod, but that is why I felt the lack of conflict with the Scrin was a very big missed opportunity. That's just how I feel. :/

Vegarot Fusion I see that as mostly accurate, but I feel like Kane was more or less placed here, way back in the day, just a bit after the seeding of the planets themselves with the original men and women, the Adams and Eves.
