i think a big part of why jack is so damn angry is because he’s one of the oldest creators on the platform, not in age, his career. he has been making videos since 2005 and has seen youtube turn its back on dedicated creators in favor of low effort money making content. he has spoken about this issue for years but actually seeing youtube and vidcon PROMOTE sniperwolf was his last straw. jack never got into any drama, in fact, he condemned it, but to him this isn’t drama and i also think it isn’t, it’s using your voice to fight for something you care about.

For example: news channels posting “X doxed a 12 year old” would seem defamatory since X can lose their job, reputation, ect. HOWEVER, if it was true and they were simply reporting it, then it is not defamation. Now lets say the news channel said: “X doxed a 12 year old and is ugly and has a small d***.” Then that is defamatory since ugly and small d*** has no factual basis. Facts with negative repercussions does not equal defamation.

Imma be honest, I’ve been watching Jacksfilms since the genesis of KZfaq , and I don’t think he went overboard with his criticism at all. The whole second channel was hilarious and also important in getting Sssniperwolf and possibly KZfaq to actually acknowledge what he was criticising. One video about her? She can brush that off, but a whole channel?! Uh oh for her Unfortunately she acknowledged it in the worst way possible…

I disagree that Jack went too hard. He kept posting about her stealing content from people because she kept stealing content from people. If she was stealing tangible goods rather than digital, no one would expect people to stop calling her out for it because they had already done so before. Beyond that, if he had only posted a handful of times it wouldn't have received nearly as much attention, and that attention is the only way to bring light to the situation and show people what is going on. It's how he showed that SSSniperwolf is making millions by stealing from people and is the kind of person who will go as far as doxxing someone because she is angry at them. It also showed that KZfaq is apparently OK with it, will continue to support her and will dole out minor, insignificant punishments to their favorite "golden child" influencers while completely deplatforming creators for doing far less. The only reason this has even become something that anyone is aware of is because of the channel that he created. I can't fault him for that. :)

I did like that you started this with an empathetic viewpoint but I think we also need to realize that this IS a black and white issue now--she turned it into one. TL;DR: Jack made videos against Sssniperwolf directly but his videos have helped people recognize when other creators are also stealing content. His shortform, digestible videos are *good* for everyone (but Sssniper) so that other creator's work is credited when it's stolen anywhere.

What you and many other youtubers who talked about the issue don't get, is that jacksfilms isn't gratuitously making fun of sssniperwolf on jjjacksfilms. He's helping the creators whose content has been stolen take down sssniperewolf's videos and get the credit they deserve. By uploading his videos, jack has encouraged many people to speak up and report the issue to youtube, causing sniperwolf to delete some of her videos or cut out clips containing stolen content. That's why she came for him.

Funny thing is Jack was actually starting to criticize other lazy "reactors" like XQC in the livestream where he got doxxed and was planning to do more later on. Obviously now that sssniperwolf doxxed him, it probably won't happen anymore.

The thing about Jacksfilms, according to people who have been around for a while, is that him doing a billion videos about something is very normal for him. When he finds something he commits to it, does a whole bunch of videos or posts, and that's just what he does. If he was suddenly doing something like this when he'd never done it before, that would be a bit sus. But it's something Jack has a very long history of doing

Another point I feel like should be made here is that during JacksFilms live streams on twitch, creators have come forward and said that SSSniperwolf stole their content without permission, and when said creators try to contact Lia and her team, asking to be credited or confronting her, she ignores them completely. Sometimes they get deleted from the video but there's never any consideration for the original content creators.

Okay, so there is a BIG difference in how Sniperwolf 'creates' content and other people. There IS a lot of substance and personality in most reactionary channels, and it is actually a great way for big channels to help direct traffic to smaller channels when content is actually being credited and discussed. She's not doing that, she's not providing commentary, she is literally saying 'Oh!' and ripping straight from creators that she doesn't credit. Jacksfilms is intentionally using his parody channel to help identify and credit people as well as make a direct dig at someone exploiting fair use. Fair use is what allows ALL of the creators on KZfaq to be on this site making money, and for the most part there is a clear unwritten respect in how creators share content with each other and their audiences. She's breaching that and she deserves to be called out. The biggest way a creator can do that is to call attention to the behavior, and Jack's channel is GENIUS. It's appropriate, he's allowed to mimic her content and it's far more work and creativity than she's ever put into anything she's ever done. What she has done is now far beyond petulant KZfaq drama, but JF had EVERY right to create that channel and call her out. If KZfaq and the law aren't going to support creators, then you have to support each other. Jack is a long time content creator, and knows how the internet works, so he went about it in a way the internet would consistently respond to.

Cooper - I think that by starting your video off with building empathy towards SSSniperwolf you may leave people with the wrong impression of the situation - especially since we know a lot of people only watch the beginning of videos and then click away. Honestly, I don't think we need to have as much empathy for her for the things you mentioned - because she is such a large creator with such a large platform that I think the criticism of her was valid and somewhat proportional. If someone made a channel to criticize a tiny channel it would be different, but if SSSniperwolf really believes that her content is good and above board then the criticism really shouldn't bother her too much. I think a point youve missed with jack (atleast so far, only 7 minutes in)is that he’s likely being so vocal because he is a prominent figure in this platform. So I think him making a huge thing out of it had a better chance of getting KZfaq’s attention. So far we’ve seen how that’s gone so I think he’s entirely valid for still pushing.

Bit of context that I've heard! 1) JJJacksFilms was created in retaliation of her not crediting the creators of videos, he reacts to her reactions and attempts to give proper credit i believe 2) one of them filed a copywrite strike against the other which requires both party's to give private info, which is most likely how she knew his adress :)

There are lots of female KZfaqrs that deserve more recognition...She's not one of them

Just to add to the whole thing of "Why did Jacksfilms do so many videos about her": it was also to credit and highlight the creators. Without the streams, bingo nights and doing extensive research of who actually created the piece of content (not to mention her trying to freeboot of a freebooter or to strategically hide the name of the creator), his streams not only provided content for JJJacksfilms and initiated the bingo nights, it also helped the creators to know that their content has been stolen, to make copyright claims and take our their bits from the videos to the point where she could not profit off the adds. It is inexcusable that SSSniperwolf started posting the same old content without acknowledging the situation where she literally COMMITED A CRIME and ENCOURAGED HER AUDIENCE TO GO AFTER HIM yet Jacksfilms is constantly living in fear of potentially crazy fans of hers to do something with the information she provided. This is beyond bananas. I am hoping that Jacksfilms and Erin, a regular person who had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the situation, are taking their action and feeling better.
